Aha! Thanks v much - I'll stop panicking then . Although it does lead me to feel miffed that my standard 8v Gti 2.0 never got the standard CD changer - Pedro obviously couldn't be a**ed to install it for me

Was a option list item on the Ibiza's only came as standard on the Cordy SX

Thats good as I have the same blue plug. Although the other end isnt under the boot carpet. What is the other end of the cable like?

I have a plug just under the rear speaker grille on the passenger side, but I dont think that it will be for the cd changer though just looking at the connector thing on the end.

CD changer cable in the boot on my old cordy had a black moulded end to it with a circular plug.

Well the cable I have definetely isnt the cd-changer cable as its totally different to the connector bit on the changer. Im just curious if the cable is there because I have a JVC headunit with a JVC changer.

Might not be i'm not sure if the cable is direct from head unit to boot or if its two part.

You know you have a mk2 when, no matter how many times i explain to my girlfriend she cant understand why i booked a day off work and travelled a round trip of 400 miles to buy one. Especially when i had a nice looking mk3 1.6 ibiza which was a dream for her to drive and traded it in for a car that she cant depress the clutch in.

Women HATE 16 Valvers........... one of the best features i feel as she steals the sodding 8v all the time!

works a bit differently to everything else though as its not actually connected to the wheels!
Just sets off an alarming beeping and a red flashing light reminding you of every film you've seen where a fighter plane gets hit by a missile!
How exciting!

COOL!! mine never did that, no lights just the abs noise as thats what does the controlling

No beeping for me either. Just the orange ABS light which is the most lit lamp on my dash, and i dont even have to brake for it to light up. damn sensors

well I only experienced mine for the first time the other day when pushing it round a few long corners with new coilies on. had to be right on the point of the wheels breaking away mind! its a loud beep that i've never heard before and a red flashing light on the dash of my T reg 16v!

if you do its a button on the end of your washer control stalk, it says mfa on it, push it until it comes up with your mpg

The crazy thing is that when i first picked up my valver the wife actually said she really liked it! I almost crashed! She hasn't said that since i had my g60 corrado and that was 13 cars ago!

ahhhh mk2s its so nice when u have just put all ur freshly sprayed parts on and after not having for the car for a few weeks decide to go for a drive and 50 yrds down the road the bloody diff goes. soooooooooooooooooo much fun
