With regards to insurance too- I know when I insured my alloys (17's were on the car when i bought it) if they were damaged in an accident they would be repalced with the Cupra Star 16's. So i'm not sure what route the insurance company would take if you got shunted? Would they spray the new panel in Ovni? As all after market is replaced with stock?

to be honest,i wouldnt even involve insurance in a 'shunt'. id get it sorted myself, and if i wasnt at fault,id send the invoice for the respray to the other company (or offer the culprit to pay up himself to avoind NCB problems).

il find out what he means by 'full' respray anyway, and if its gona cost upwards of £1k il just respray it onvi...

and yeah,it was just for a change, something different than standard colour since it has to be done anyway

The price sounds very cheap, the company I use charge about £200 a panel, obviously the more panels you have done the cheaper it is.

Have you tried a local detailer you might be surprised how well they can restore faded paint work[B)]

I spent 10+ hours with a rotary polisher on my Ovni LC when I had, once Ovni fades there no fixing it! The paint fades under the laquer!

double checked the price,it DOES include all the shuts and seals, pretty much the full shabang.

iv been looking at the Lumina Orange that the mk2 leon cupra comes in,im really considering it if it has that slight yellow/orange tint in it that the pics look like, however iv been told it looks as orange as the audi A3's that are flying around.

some pics:

its either that or the liquid yellow:

Onvi yellow, dont think orange would look good on a leon/any car other than a serious performance car such as murcielago or similar. Tbh tho id be a bit worried of the old saying, pay cheap pay twice...

Those pics don't do Liquid Yellow justice!

There was a (badly) sprayed Mk1 Leon about in Lambo Orange, that looked alright.

Pics are here! I assume they are still there (can't see as work PC blocks Photobucket!!!)

iv seen the work he has done and i am pretty impressed.worked on my mates cars, and e even has a contract with robert wiesemans milk company to spray their vans.so its looking promising.im going to look at the liquid yellow up close at a garage.

so the lumina orange is definately not yellow with orange tint then?

Before I owned my Seat Leon, my Mrs introduced this game to make our motoring less boring. It was called YELLOW CAR. It involved us being able to slap the other persons legs decalring YELLOW CAR upon siting a yellow car. As you can imagine, this was quite painful for the lsong person (usually the driver at the time who could only focus on the road). Please get your cars resrayed a colour other than yellow! I did my bit by buying a grey leon cupra!

Even at mates rates I cant imagine its going to be a good job for £600.

I guess it all depends on how picky you are...

Don't see why it wouldn't be a good job... thats abit like saying if the best car painter in the world did a £600 job for his mate it wouldn't be as good as one the company he worked for charged 3k?

If the painter is good and has good materials cost shouldn't really matter.
