December 2024 - update: Valve Caps now in stock

Hi Peeps,

We are looking into stocking high-quality SEAT and CUPRA valve caps in our merchandise store.

This post is to gauge interest; there is no commitment to buy. We would look to source in bulk, so we need a decent amount of interest, ideally at least 100 people.

We have yet to finalise colour options and would like to offer the CUPRA and SEAT logos (without the text for a cleaner look).

Please vote in the poll (you'll need to be in the browser on your desktop or phone - the polls didn't work in Tapatalk last time I checked).

Also, please comment with your colour preferences

We'd be looking to keep the price below £12 including delivery, but it will depend on the numbers.

They are made from high-quality, lightweight, anodised aluminium.

Black n Copper Defo 👍😎

Are they Plastic lined to prevent electro corrosion issues

The all aluminium ones can fuse themselves to the valve caps 😳

Thanks for asking. I've asked our supplier and they have advised:

Aluminium valve caps can corrode over a period of time and become difficult to remove, but only if harsh chemicals are used to clean the wheels or aggressive road salt isn’t washed off.

However, this is easily prevented by applying a small amount of silicone grease or thread lock to the tyre valve before fitting. We always recommend doing this as a precaution, and it is generally good practice for your tyre valves. The valve caps also contain a rubber o ring to ensure they seat correctly on the valve and cannot be overtightened.

I've been using similar caps without silicone grease and regularly use iron fallout remover on the wheels, and I haven't had this issue in 6 years. We are considering offering silicone grease as an optional add-on in the store for people who want some when purchasing the caps.

We hope to have the first stock of caps in the next couple of weeks. Will keep this thread updated.
