Just to keep you updated. I washed the car for the first time yesterday with the plates fitted and have noticed some issues with the black strip presumably due to water getting in. I've asked the supplier if this is an isolated issue to the sample I have been sent. My contact is on holiday until tomorrow so will let you know when I hear back.

Ideally the forum details on the plate want to be underneath the clear top layer - so it’s sealed in and there’s no way for it to wash/scratch off. If it’s a vinyl sticker there’s always going to be adhesion and/or water ingress eventually

That's what they've done. It's not a sticker. That's why the supplier is baffled how water appears to have got in there.
