Firstly please do not bite my head off :)

What are people's opinions of this product? i know some people have used it for years with excellent results, but others have used it and it has ruined their alloys... Personally i've never had a problem with it, but would like to know peoples experiences..

Never really used it myself but I'm pretty sure it's quite a harsh wheel cleaner (so not surprising some people have had issues with too much use) you'd be far better off with some Bilberry, very easy on the wheels and gets them ultra clean with very little effort :)

I've seen before and after results of Bilberry wheel cleaner, I've decided that stuff is THE wheel cleaner to get. It lasts well too, as it can be diluted with water, so it's only as strong as you need it to be.

Will be getting myself some shortly.

Oh yeah, Bilberry is the dogs danglies, it works so much better than wonder wheels and is nowhere near as toxic. Dilute it down, spray it on, a bit of a scrub on the really mucky places, wash it off. Job done.

Oh yeah, and it's cheaper than wonder wheels!

Wonder wheels is ok when used correctly.

And bilberry is way over hyped. It cleans the wheels, but only with decent agitation. Can get the same results with water and shampoo

i've always found wonder wheels good tbh, strong acidic mixture cuts through tar quite well. To be fair to whoever makes wonder wheels, i does tell you on the packaging that it can only be used on certain types of alloys, which there are pictures of as well.

I rate Wonder Wheels. I have used it loads as well as Bilberry and Meguiars Wheel Brightener. I find Bilberry is ok every 2 to 3 weeks but isn't a patch on WW when it comes to removing the stubborn stuff. Having said that I don't use WW probably more than once every 2 months. Have used it on a set of RS4 style alloys for the last 4 years and 60,000 miles and they're still spotless with no marks etc. However have recently started to use the Megs Wheel Brightener and thats even better again.

You can also dilute WW or Megs as well as Bilberry.

Have always found Wonder Wheels way too strong (only ever used it the once and passed it on to a neighbour).

I've just used Zaino Z-7 only as the wheels are cleaned every week plus low mileage. Not a lot of dust sits on them.

The wheels generally get treated the same as the rest of the paintwork.

Wonder Wheels can damage your alloys as its very very strong. It has its place in the market but I would not use it.

I am a big fan of Bilberry Wheel cleaner. However I only ever use it if I got a tough alloy that needs a deep clean. A strong mix of APC will do a good job in a 4:1 mix and something like Megs APC is very good for nearly all cleaning duties. If you really want to save the pennies you can get Tesco's Daisy APC and mix it 4:1 or 3:1 to clean your alloys.

Depending on the type of finish you could use Iron X which will get rid of the Iron filings on the wheels and its also a good idea to use a product like Tardis to get rid of baked on Tar and Glue.
