I remember seeing somewhere that the leon has a function whereby when you put the car into reverse the near side mirror tilts down to aid parking next to kerbs. Is this right?

My '06 FR doesn't, and its a real pain because the wheels are nigh on impossible to see as the body curves round so much. I've had to learn to gauge it very accurately on my narrow street where you need to park close in...

mirror and reverse

I have had my stylance for a year and I have never found this facility. I know that it is on the Golf. Would be interested to find out if it works on the leon and how! Like I only discovered a few weeks ago that turning off the esp raises the rev range on the dsg and pressing the key fob once locks the doors and holding it down folds the mirrors in

Not that I've ever heard of on the Leon sorry. The Golf does have it as an option though.

Would be useful as its so easy to catch the wheels, especially as the P-Zeros offer no rim protection.

If its an option on the A3 and the Golf (I never saw it on the options list when I bought my MkV) then I would think that it is something you could do with VAG-COM. TBH I have never heard of it on the Golf, but I bought mine in 2005 so they may well have introduced it as an option after that.

It's part of the luxury pack on the Golf. Has certianly been an option for the last year or so, but maybe not back in 2005.

i remember that my 2004 LCR did it as well, would be good on the FR as I am so paranoid of scuffing the wheels!

its a dial on door handle... same one for folding the mirrors in.

Yeah but did you not have to do something like.............. open all the doors, roll one sleeve up and wear odd socks, switch ignition to stage 2, put car in reverse, adjust mirror then turn off ignition.

You then put mirror back to normal and it adjusted each time you selected reverse?

I wonder whether the Golf has an newer ECU than the Leon...

(Luxury Pack when I ordered was floding mirrors with little lights underneath them to illuminate puddles... And heated seats I think.)

There is an option in vag-com for that, but it says " only for memory Seats ". I never activated it and see what happens. I`ll check today and then see if it work or not.
