Wing mirrors not lowering

Hi,

I noticed recently that my wing mirrors are no longer lowering when reversing. I have a feeling my daughter turned the mirror dial to the heat option and it’s been on for a long time without me noticing and has burnt something out! Is this an expensive fix or potentially covered under my extended warranty?

Just checking - you do have the dial pointing to the correct side and the option is still selected in the infotainment system?

I think it has to be pointed to 'L' or 'R' depending on whether you drive on the right or the wrong side of the road ;-)

Yes, the mirror adjustment control needs to be point to whichever side the nearside (kerbside) of the vehicle is, so for the UK and RHD, it needs to point to ‘L’.

@Matt_Cardiff; should have added to my previous post that if by any chance your car has somehow ‘forgotten’ your specific ‘tilt while reversing‘ settings, you may need to set it up and store your settings again before it will work. Instructions to set it up as per the screenshot below from the 2021 manual (Nov 2020 edition) for the Leon - reference to ‘position R’ will be ‘position L’ for RHD cars.
