On another note, had to wind the coilies up a bit today to prevent the ARB hitting the driveshaft until I can afford the new ARB. Loads of thread to go if I did want to really slam it

Ah yeah, i just changed from that set up because of that reason lol. You'll prob need a diff anti roll bar with bigger hoops (which i thought was pointless) or switch to the setup i have. I dont know if adjustable links will help in this situation as i didnt look into that.

my ARB cost me 20 quid off ebay, 5er for oem bushes and 30 quid for the drop links. Well worth it.

The whiteline one goes under the driveshaft and is made for the (non R) set up. whiteline ARB

The fact TT/s3 ones fit the same, are in easy supply and are much cheaper was enough for me. TT one I have is only 20mm, so less stiff, but I plan to get a stiff rear ARB to balance it. I’ve heard a stiff front ARB on this platform can induce understeer quite bad.

All depends on your budget!

That sounds like something I can get on board with, would an s3/tt one fit to my current set up?

Yes mate, MK1 TT and s3’s are a good resource for bringing the AUQ platform (mine is same as yours) up to snuff with the LCR etc.

Just had a quick look on eBay and no super bargains right now, but there’s usually a few kicking about.

When choosing just be sure to pay attention to the diameter/thickness of the bar so you can get the right bushes.

Forgot to add if you’re wanting to do this, you WILL need the mounting point on your suspension, as seen in my earlier pictures. I have LCR coilovers for this.

Think this is an s3 / tt roll bar. New custom drop links at 30mm.

£30
