Alrite mate hows things with the car? Did you get your rear light yet?

Got a couple of questions bud did you manage to get hold of Paul to see if he can map the SAI out? Also did he map the decat out of yours? As my lights on constant for this and im starting to get annoyed now

I hope to phone him next week depends on how the turbo install goes this saturday cant wait to finally drive it after 7 weeks :funk: will be no death for it though as it will be running like crap due to 3" MAF and LCR injectors

Was on an all day bender last Saturday so wasn't at work last Saturday, I'm assuming the light is there though haha hopefully sort that this weekend and tinting front lights, see what it looks like haha

I need to find out the fault codes for the sai and carbon canister thing so he can map them out, I've stuck a thread in the mk4 section. It all confuses me lol is there a connector that plugs into the pump under the manifold? Can I just leave that without resistoring it but have it mapped out then just strip the rest out but keep the two solenoids plugged in?

Yeh just give John a ring or an email, I was emailing him today like, he'll sort you out

Yeah ive got a resistor on that plug aswell mate haha! Im not sure if you could run it without a resistor bud!

Did you not ask Paul to map the decat out when you got it mapped? Im going to phone him on monday if the car is up and running. Got so many things sitting in my room to be fitted to the car lol its got its own corner and its taking up half my room

Put up a thread about side strips bud what do you think would look good black or colour coded strips?

I've been emailing him yesterday and today, seein if he can map out the sai and EGR canister thing. And yeh John mapped out the decat. No engine light :) he just widens the readable limits of the second lambda sensor or something so it doesn't register a fault.

You not got all your bits smashed on yet? :p

Matt black would be cool to go with the wheels or anthracite to go with all the other cupra plastics! Body colour with yours might be a ball ache to get a match I reckon? On black and White cars etc it's not so bad I guess!

wouldnt spray them black just colour code them? i meant to test you back about that sorry man forgot all about it. just heat them and use like an ise scraper like scott said, tbh dont think you can remove the old ones without destroying them in the process. but the glue is a mojor pain to remove. maybe get some autoglym tar remover into it.

Just had tracking done, one side was quite a way out so its miles nicer to drive now :D used to it already though so just feels like it did haha glad to know tyres should last abit longer and wear evenly.

Bloke who test drove the car after was grinning quite abit and said it was class. Always chuffed when the car gets some good appreciation!

Oh and should be getting my lhd rear lamp tomorrow so i can get rid of the pesky white lense on the back and have them all red! Might tint the front lights too, gonna see what they look like first anyway. Still waiting for the right hose off Forge for the coldside kit, 2 months down the line....

BOOM CITY. Looks great scott.

How did you manage to get the tracking done with it being lower than standard? Every place i've tried said the instruments won't fit. A real pain when i'm rinsing tyres and in desperate need of correction :(

Good job Steve, cant wait to see the progress! Hmm 2 months for a hose is getting abit silly, i guess they are getting let down by their supplier too, but still!

and Cheers mate, theres a place about 20 odd miles away that can track up even stupidly lowered cars. Some proper fancy equipment! Only cost me 23 quid or something, its much better now!

I just asked on a local forum and was directed to it. Theres a lad that works there thats on here funnily enough!

Coldside relocation fitted and euro spec rear light fitted :D I'll give it a wash at the weekend and get some pics. Or some dirty ones tomorrow. Too dark to get some tonight once it was done.

Took it out for a blast to make sure everything was spot on. Definitely pulls harder, which I didn't expect. Sounds offit aswell, makes the normal sorta noises on low boost but abit more silenced but on full chat it sounds class when it blows off, loads nicer.

Happy days :D
