sorry i havnt been near a pc to post since friday. my car went into the local dealers on saterday, got it back saterday lunchtime. they said the problem was with the convenience controle unit wich is located behind the dash. this part was making the ignition think that it was the wrong key, and was showing up faults with the door sensor and the ignition unit. they reset all of this with there computers. and touch wood it has been fine ever since, we have used the car quite alot since then aswell, so im hoping thats it.

UPDATE

Car went into the dealers on monday, rang them today and theyve found faults on the 2 front door lock motors.

£85 each

plus alot of investigation work (they were goin thru wiring diagrams aswel)

shud be gettin it back friday morning now

cant wait as ive got a kia picanto courtesy car atm
