Wheel spacers.......?

The ones posted on that (crappy buggy) website, look like they are just tapped holes in the ally... in which case you are worse off strength wise than a steel bolt into a steel hub.

I hope you don't mean the website i've posted:confused:

The ones i've got (text from the website):
By the application of a very high-quality special aluminium-magnesium metal, pressing in the threaded inserts is unnecessary.

They are +-100£/set of 2.

yep I did mean the url you posted..
constant error's on my browser when i click on it which dont go away, locking up explorer. (hence saying crappy website, not content, just construction)

and they are using the magnesium/ally for threads for holding your wheels on... no inserts... :think: Not something I would contemplate personally.

Btw,the same ones are used on a cupra from a friend of mine.They're used at the front wheels because otherwise his wheels wouldn't fit over his big brake kit.
They survived lots of dragraces with no problem at all.
It's a IHI cupra with 320hp;)

Looks to me they're proven to be very strong:p

Btw,took this from the H&R website :
TRAK+ wheel spacers are made from a proprietary aluminum/magnesium alloy which is not only incredibly strong, but also very light (up to 70% lighter than a comparable steel product) to minimize unsprung weight. TRAK+wheel spacers are then hard anodized to ensure a tough, durable finish that is resistant to chipping, scratching and oxidation

Prolly a browser problem my end, which only affected by that website :rolleyes:

Ask any qualified engineer whether they would choose aluminium alloy for threaded application, where the frequency of use is high. Wear rate WILL be higher. Lightweight yes... as hard wearing as steel? As I said, not something I would personally use for the reasons given, on my 400bhp Race Car Ibiza, if ya biggin up the other car ;) :p I change my wheels a lot for races etc.... Ally thread is not going to last.

I get your point...if you change your wheels then I totally agree with you.
But that's not the case with us.

But you recommand the H&R spacers and they're completely the same as the ones I use.

I do reccommend H&R/Eibach hubcentric ones yes..... but I dont supply the bolt on type. Up to 20mm there is no need, other than combining pcd adaption at the same time.

Well...

They arrived Yesterday and looked very professional looking...

Anyhow i fitted them and looked **** hot but.............When i started to drive it it was knocking like mad....

So off came the wheels, some of the bolts wernt v. tight... so tightened up with a torque wrench, wheels back on....

Still knocking....

So ive rang up the company and im sending them back today...

if bolts too long on the fronts, they will push the ABS ring into the ABS sensor.
you will see a witness round marked on them if so.

i'm lowering my MK.4 TDi130 sport 30mm on a KONI kit and want to also fit spacers to increase the rear track greater than the front and to fill up the arches.

will i be able to use 20mm spacers on the rear without any rubbing or arch liner mods or could i use 25mm?

i see that badger 5 do 15mm & 20mm hub centric spacers, are there any hubcentric thinner spacer kits available i can use on the fronts about 10mm maybe?

if so i just wanna say how much i love the yellow 'biza annialating some very very expensive machinery down there....

i remember seeing it being not so quick through the chicane...but once on the gas you just pull past people!

a legend...i salute you!
