I have fitted a new Reiger F2-like front bumper to my ibiza and it looks VERY low

Its 70mm off the ground and looks like it will fall off if I hit some gravel on the road :D

what do other people have and is it workable ?

Cheers

any pics rob? i found with the f2 it was deceiving(sp). the amount it protruded out front gave me more cause for concern than the actual height of the lower splitter.from the images i have seen its not as low as the f2 with a bilstein drop of 40mm (which is probably nearer 50-60 mm)and the lowest part of the bumper is usually right in front of the wheel, they generally rise up at the front
get some pictures up asap ;)

My bumpers low to i've got the aggressor front bumper and the cars lowered 60mm all round and i have no problems at all. Like Jason said though the lowest part of the bumper will be the edges near the wheels at the front it'll rise up slightly so you should be fine.

from beeza gti's pics it does look slightly lower at the wheels, the pisser is that when the front end goes over a bump the front edge clears it but the back edge catches, before the wheels lift the car up over it,something i m having to look at before i can lower the vrs, drive dictates how much i can lower it.
i imaginey ou'll have problems going in and out of the garge rob :(

the cordy was always low and only met its demise when i drove through a really humpy grass carpark. on the road it was fine. you could put your foot under wearing trainors only. boots didnt go under.

front is 90-100mm and rear edge near wheel is 70mm - stupid design if you ask me, 100mm for all of it would have been much more useable

would really like to know some exact measurements if folk have time. Ta.

pics soon, taken it off again to change 2 brackets a bit

normal driving doesnt usually rip the front off its when you go over something and think... "oops better reverse off that" then it pulls it all off and makes a mess.
the ibiza has a really long front end so speed bumps will always be a problem cos when the front is at the peak of the bump the front wheels are usually still on the road. anyhow, mines not got the bumper you are reffering to but in the signature, mines lowered bout 45mm on 17s and with the height that mines at will catch on every speed bump unless taken at an angle, and those daft bumps in the centre of the lane need to be straddled to get over them. it does scrape but it doesnt pull it off unless as i say you reverse back off them.

may have just rambled shizza sorry, got started and just kept going :)

104 people have read this and as yet, no one has actually been able to tell me exactly how high off the ground is the bottom edge of the lowest part of their front bumper..............in cm will do, not shoes, or cats, or banana's, in cm or even inches.........could some people please bother to measure this, not about, or probably, simply measure this simple distance ?????

thanks for the link and making the effort - but I feel with god knows how many thousand members we have on here we can do better than "less than 100mm" and "about 4" but "somewhere on my shin"......

tomorrow will have to do - thanks again

Cheers
