I am seriously thinking of a Fiesta ST. Yes it has a drop in power but it isn't that much slower and will cost a lot less to run, insure and service. I don't need a family size hatch back so size wise it is good.

The other benefits is that i ahev an excellent Ford dealer 2 mins from work and only 20misn from home.

I also found it to be much mor enejoyable and comfortabelt o drive than the Seat.

Bearing in mind i am saving for a house i think this could be a good comprimise.

I would look at a Clio Cup but i really am not a fan of French cars. They may handle but the after sales and build quality aren't exactly up there with the best.

Can't seem to get the edit to work.

Was only offered £7.5k for thec ar. According to Whatcar that is a fair price, especially as it is due mot and 40k service and brakes at the end of the month. Still hurts though, lost £7k in 2 .5years!!! Price you pay for a newish car is suppose.

i had this decision to make about a year and a half ago
i in the end went for a john cooper works mini s (210 bhp) great car great performance and handling just not big enough in the end. so sold that after 6 months and now have had a golf gti mk5 for 9 months alls i can say is that it is a cracking car. Dont get me wrong some people have had probs with them i have a couple of minor niggles but all in all love it, after the lcr i didt think i would find anything as good but have twice, both in different ways. Some people will say that the golf isnt worth the extra of some rivals inc the lcr but the interior is (in my opinion a nicer place to be) not a dig at the lcr by any means, the engine is superb smoother than the mini and lcr and feels just as fast as the lcr not quite as fast as the mini and the handling i was very surprised at, i was expecting to be disapoined after the mini but although not quite up there with the mini very good.
Anyway waffled enough that ismy 2pence worth

I have bought a Performance blue Fiesta ST, 2000 on the clock. Picking it up on Monday. First thing to is armourfend it and then sort the exhaust and suspension. It needs to sit lower and there is a restrictor oin the exhaust - that should release 15 - 20 bhp. I am going to run it fro a few months first before modding.
