What will replace the LC ??

My LC MY03 is now almost out of warranty, its 3 years old and has 40000 on the clock. I am now thinking that its time for a change. I have considered keeping the LC and moding it such as brakes, suspension and maybe a chip but as i mentioned in a recent post i am finding the LC uncomfortable. I have not had a comfortable driving psoition.

I now to do that most difficult task of choosing a new car to replace my reliable LC.
I have tried to narrow it down. It can't cost much more to run than the LC (fuel tyres, servicing etc) so that rules out jap 4x4's. It can't cost more than £270 a month in finance/loan. I think that means i am playing with £14000-16000. I don't need a family hatchback as 90% its just me and the girlfriend in the car, however it needs a boot. Also it has to have similar or better perfomance than the LC. Sounds impossible and i may need to comprimise.

I have short listed to Fabia vrs, Fiesta ST i maybe able to stretch to Focus ST or RS. Not keen on the ibiza i am affriad. Although i am not to keen on a brand new car (deprication) Does anyone have any experience of these cars?? Is there any i haven't considered??

steve Even SEAT spain have said the new seat range looks like the biggest pile of shoite ever, they wished they had gone for the same shape of the new focus as its more like the older leon than the new one is.

i wood go for an RX8 really nice took one out on a 5 hour test drive only thing you can fault is the way it drinks oil
if seat dont buck there ideas up i will be getting one of those next

pretty much in the same situation as you with the car
have a leon 1.8 t fr in red on a 04 54 plate.
the truth is there is not alot out there with the power of a cupra without going for a real sporty car.

dont know if it helps but i was looking at a megane 225 sport, looks nice but its a renault!!

my choice would be a golf gti, only problem is you gasin 20 hp and get less kit on the car!!
