Starlet gt! They look utter wank, but are proper sleepers my mate had a gt with 280bhp and it weighed less than a ton. Totally silly speed

Pete out of the two it has to be LCR tge TT's look cheep IMO there to girly unless new if you want the 4x4 from audi why not get an S3 small fast and can get a quatro saw on newer one running 12's at USC this year or could go red top turbo'd nova? Always good fun

i agree mo , aftermaret bits are much cheaper for scoobies , had full fmic on my old and and full exhaust (stainless) both for under £500, not to mention the simplicity off the car mechanically , if you had a running issue you would no what is was in 30 mins max , i think thats the downside of vag cars over sensored, and can be a headache to diagnose when goes wrong.

the biggest problem i face is the mrs has a strong say in what i get next due to baby coming soon so she wants whatever i get for me not see too much potential. and with jap cars i no i will spend shed loads trying go faster, don't no why but i do like the look of mk1 tt now

ok over the pass weekend been viewing cars and testing them ,

1. blue 2004 renaultsort megane 225 , was fun and exciting but felt cheap inside was of putting also had 54k miles with 6 owners from new which says to me problem car so walked away

2. 94 subuaru impreza , wth spec list as long as my d**k lol, fully forged engine , recently rebuilt , 3.5" turbo back exhaust , hybrid turbo suppose to be running 385 bhp , was crazy fast and stupidly loud was fun but after test drive realised i can't own a car like this anymore i'm getting to old lol.

3. leon cupra r 53 plate with revo stage 2 , 112k miles , felt nice to drive and fast but was shocked how much lean through the corners, was expecting better i must be honest , coming from cupra i was expecting more on handling side , but then again i had uprated arb strut brace and weitec coliovers

4. audi tt 225 yesterday drove it felt slow compared to leon cupra r i drove but was much more refined but got a look in the shop window and i look like a rite nob lol ,

5. finally today a friend of friend was selling is s3 after 4 years of ownership and told me have a look , was a cat d with door damaged also had photos of the damage and sorted now , also had brand new engine and k04 turbo put at a cost of £4600 including labour , which is stupid money and still have 30k miles warranty on both engine and turbo, downside is has 3 engine faults according to vag com , 2 relating to 02 sensor , one saying 02 no activity ? and one worrying one saying knock sensor low input i think i need to double check , but funny that there is no lights on dash , taking as a risk but something said buy it got it all for 1800 cause of a mate. wish me luck guys think i might need it luckyily i got the yairs as a run a bout

Really? There quite a bit slower than the cupra r when going thro the gears and are quite heavy cars! Brillaint at handling with the quattro obviously, you must like going around corners and not like straight line speed.

Thats not a very long spec list soo...... LOL.

this spec sheet was too long for me to list , including custom built fmic , electronic boost controller , switch for intercooler spray etc etc

I think you missed the joke, Still its a 94 Rice bucket, that and apart from the 385bhp won't do much for your image, the S3 is a good choice, power and respectability.

wow, i was expecting you to be older than 23 when you said you're too old for loud scoobies like.

but ignoring that, it sounds like you made a good decision as long as the faults don't cause too much of a headache, i've always loved the look of S3s.
