What sort of 0-60 times stage 1

Hi all, been lurking for a while and decide to ask a question to the tsi owners.

I went to buy a Boc last year and the sales guy was a :censored: just didn't want to help me or sell me a car really (obviously making enough money) I'd even been on the phone to revo the day before making sure they were going ahead with the remaps as they weren't out back then and were still testing it, he assured me it would be released that month.

After the poor service of Seat i walked into the mazda garage across the road and bought a new 3 MPS. which is a great car but i'm thinking about a swap.

I've always had a soft spot for the ibiza and have been looking at a few of late.

What i'm after is how would it compare to my mazda 0-60, 30-70 etc. What sort of times are you guys running stage 1 or 2?

Any help would be appreciated!

The Mazda3MPS will and does put the power down much better. Me personally id stick with the mazda. A simple remap and intake will see you at 300Hp and a much wider powerband. they go well then. Its also fully loaded with kit. shame its £400+ a year to tax and shocking on fuel.

My 1.4TSI with 210hp easily hits 37mpg round town and 47mpg on motorway

The Ibiza will be quicker to 60 as its light and has DSG. In gear times it would get its ass kicked IMO. but ina flat out race the stage 1/2 cupra would have the legs on it easily i think purely on a power to weight ratio and DSG advantage. Once past 100mph id bet the mazda would start to pull, however in all honesty how often are you above 100mph?

Also the stage 2 Mazdas with 320-330hp get the same 1/4 mile times as the stage 1 & 2 cupras despite their 100Hp advantage. But their starts are compromised due to the power/torque traction however terminal speeds are alot higher normally.

I think the majority of people would be surprised at how well these go in gear...

But the mps are complete animals lol

I've recently had a stage 1 Revo uploaded to my car and its totally standard apart from that and a BOV and I consistanly hit under 6 seconds for a 0-60. Although I have yet to have it properly timed at a quarter mile so my times might be out slightly either way.

Thanks for all the replies!

I find that the MPS doesn't put the power down very well on anything but bone dry Tarmac, which we don't seem to get very often.

I love the dsg and the cost of running a cupra but I don't know if I'd get bored but to be honest I get bored with any car after 12 months.

As for tuning the MPS it not that straight forward they aren't that many tuners about an not many can tune the mk 2 that well, I currently have a k&n typhoon, 1 de cat and a forge bpv an should be running around 270bhp. I get 21mpg round town an tax is £250 a year

I like the idea of the cupra, if you want to boot it you plant your foot and hold on, then when your taking it easy it'd be a nice car to drive easy were as the MPS as said above is a bit of an animal. Would I miss this though lol
