I was under the impression that SEAT couldn't detect if LCR's were Revo'ed or not.:think:

SEAT may have a hunch but nothing to substantiate it, plus how would they know it's specifically 'Revo'......plenty in this story doesn't add up for me including the mysterious 1,400miles added in a week.

All very very odd

Seat can NOT detect remaps like Revo/AMDs. So what Seat do is if they need to check, they will take out your ECU and Seat then send that 2 Seat UK, and Seat UK then send it 2 AMD Technik 2 test it, because they can read remapped ECUs and Seat cant.

That what i got tolded by the MD, because if Seat can not fix your car then Seat UK will ask AMD 2. Thats why i took it 2 them, because it would of been took 2 them in the end any way.

I also ask him about that 2, he said that it can do 10000 in a week and it would of not hurt it. He said that engine can take V. HARD raggings, and not 2 worry bout it!!!

Then what?, invalidate the warranty on the ECU?....they would need to prove the tweaked ECU was responsible for whatever faults the car has....I know of a Revo'd LCR that had 2 new engines and there was never an issue with the warranty.

As for the mileage issue I agree the cars can take abuse, my query would be why anyone would buy a car that mysteriously got 1,400miles added to it in a week.

They take a hex dump of the ECU & report back to SEAT whether it's as it left the factory or not.

I call it shitting on the little guy

I wonder if they do the same when it comes back with a Dimsport map from AMD on it or not....

I only know about the 1400 miles on the clock because i got in touch with Paul and he said that he sold the car on 8500 and i got it on 9900 but Adam at AMD said that it was not a new engine and it would of loved it!!!

I know that AMD can read remaps by Revo but i am not sure if anyone can read AMDs i think only AMD can read it because Seat cant!!!!

Yeah - they can. just remove the chip & stick it in an eeprom reader.

I've done it more than once....

You would have 2 take out the ECU of the car 2 do that, AMD can just read it with out taking your ECU out!

HELP AGAIN ITS STILL NOT GETTING 225BHP!!!

I put it back on the RR 2 day (Same 1), and got 215bhp b4 AMD and I have 218.

Do LCRs 225 get 225 as std on a RR?

If that was a std 210 that would be good but its a 225, so y is it only getting 218???

It should never get 225bhp in the 1st place

225 does not mean 225bhp, i told you this a few posts back.

225 is the measurement in PS. NOT BHP.

225 PS =222bhp

So you are down around 4-7bhp depending on which reading (215 or 218) which is nothing to worry about. Its been a little warm today aswell which is obviously going to affect your reading. It will easily get your magical 222bhp or more in the colder months!

THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH YOUR CAR!!

I think i have got it working now. Tyres were:

FP = 29 Psi
FD = 47 Psi
BP = 32 Psi
BD = 32 Psi

What do u put them at?

I have put 34 Psi on all?

What Psi does Seat use on the LCRs?

Thanks!!!
