met up with Ocularis yesterday and he did some VCDS mods for me.
top man - thanks, Kris:)
So - mirrors now fold on lock, Carbon background to info display, reduced sound actuator to 30% (can now use "sport" mode :)) and a 2-sec delay on headlight wash when screen being washed.

I thought about the mirrors folding on lock, but left it to me choosing to do it manually as in the winter mornings the units might be frozen, and the last thing you want is the motors burning out. So I don't fold them in winter at all.

Not much of a change with the replacement.

Will keep checking in here. This place always seems to have the edge when it comes to helpful people and ways to mess with your motor;)

Been there since my last vrs a few years back. Good resource too.

I am going the other way....just sold my vrs blackline and getting a cupra. Would have considered a new vrs but the deals on the cupra were far better and it has more kit as standard.

Well wear, test drove a Cupra too but in the end needed more space and do about 50k km a year so it had to be a diesel. The Cupra is a cracking motor.

Gave her a clean, but no pics as its not "that" clean. Saw a cupra in the stealers showroom which was black like mine but fully loaded with sub8 and stuff. Sat in the bucket seats... they are soooooooo much nicer than the stock ones.

Went and got some Goodyear Eagle F1 AS2 tyres fitted to my titanium pack alloys that I picked up last week, then gave here a good clean afterwards.

Considering getting some mirror caps sprayed to complete the Titanium pack look now, Does anyone know the paint code for the mirror caps by any chance?

If anyone is interested, I have both my other sets of wheels for sale now on the bay.

18" Seat Leon "Performance" alloy wheels

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/231644872007?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1558.l2649

18" Audi A3 alloy wheels

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/231645947807?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1558.l2649

The Audi wheels are identical fitment to the Seat wheels so bolt straight on :)

Good job, standard wheel has zero padding. How much did it cost to swap over?

Fortunately I got it at cost price so it cost £234 retail is £365 plus vat. She has never liked the steering wheel. Had a golf mk7 gtd before the leon and that had the leather wheel

Is that price of the wheel plus fitting?
I fitted it, only a twelve mm splined socket and a pick to release the airbag but I have worked for the vag group for twenty plus years, retail fitting time they will charge half hour labour rough cost would be £ 415 fitted. I got it trade so that's nearly half the cost

Hmmm thats actually a lot cheaper than i was expecting. Ive always hated the wheel on mine. Compared to the nappa trimmed wheel it feels like the plastice ones Hyundai use.

If i keep my FR then I wouldnt mind doing this. im sure the original wheel will sell quickly on eBay.

Next job is mirror link like the cupra.
Retro fit option available in September ( before I start a big one on this must have media system plus fitted to get this retro fit option)
