I know the feeling - tried to wrap my grill surround gloss black last week, used a heat gun and it was going well until the wrap melted a bit then tore and i messed up the last corner :(

It’s amazing just how good I got some of it, easy as pie too, but due to its shape there is always folds at one bit which was in the corner.

Awkward place top lying on the floor, plastisol it is.

Topped up with some Castrol Engine Oil (Edge Long Life Engine Oil - 5W-30).

Seems in 2,500 miles I’ve burned through just over 1/4 of a litre :drunk:

Took the risk and applied the sonax cc36 a few weeks ago myself, and while away on holidays car has been about 5 weeks since a wash, which is still nothing compared to my last car :headhurt:

Anyway its time to take these out for a spin and see how this coating performs.... Will update with more pics when setup and ready to go....

Setup and some prewash photos below.

Steps

1. Wheels (no coatings) - power hose, W5 Citrus spray, micro fibre glove wipe, power hose

2. Car (body windows) - power hose, snow foam soak, power hose.

If the ceramic is so good ill stop here......:1st:

3. Car wash spray, lambs wool rub, power hose, dry

And that will be all for this evenings show...

Things where going reasonably well until these little f-ers turned up when drying, and I found this chip in the bonnet.

Anyway end results below. Not fully sure on the ceramic coating, but it did seem to clean reasonably easy

Oh no! After all the work you put into cleaning n protecting it. Can't tell from the pic, what are the chances of it machine polishing out?
Actually no damage :D Was a very small dent but it have fixed it self :) Guess the coatings did its job. All the markings on the pic was gone after I washed her

Phew! Haha, I love that moment when the jaw dropping horror turns to relief as you wipe off a massive mark. My personal fav is spider webs. I got back to my car once and there was a massive 2 foot scratch down it. As the tears were rolling, I touched it and it got stuck to my finger LOL!
