Wow. First time I've seen this dark blue in FR spec and it looks great. Really, really nice and a lot different than on the configurator.
Still waiting for the Estate version, then going to pull the trigger on that same color, in FR spec. Can't wait!

Oh, I recognise that road, I live just round the corner. The car wasn't me though!! He must have ended up moving over to the left lane to go down the hill into Wandsworth after those lights then, when there was even less space than if he'd done if at first when he came round the one way.
Both the lanes that I was in and the blue car converge after the lights to go down East hill into Wandsworth
Are you sure it wasn't you?
Yes, they converge but it is more the right hand lane that has to come over to the left hand lane than a 50/50 mix. So all I meant was to go down the hill, it is better to get over early before the lights than do it after when normally the traffic slows everything right down anyway.
I also like being on the left as invariably the bus lane is empty going down East Hill and is only operational between 7am and 10am and then 4pm to 7pm, so it makes it easy to go there and past all the traffic down to the lights at the bottom.

Very true about the bus lane and very few use it when they are allowed lol
Or do what all the idiots do in rush hour and drive all the way down the far right lane and cut in at the last minute, cheeky sods!
I live right by there as well, Since I got my Leon at the end of October, I have only spotted one other FR, A red 5 door and that was up the road near Wandsworth common and Alfarthing lane

4 days later I pulled up at a set of lights and he was in front of me again, I only noticed as the OS rear window did not have the vinyl graphics on it

I have hard wired the wiring in so i don't have to use the lighter socket, but I take the camera out when not driving.
The Blackvue uses a sticky pad mount so the mount is permanent but is very small and can hardly see it from the outside.
From what I have read, pretty much all suction cup mounts on the windscreen are illegal in this country now because they are bulky and are in the way of drivers vision when mounted.
The blackvue and some other cams can be wired in and left in place and will record movement or will record if the G sensor is activated whilst you are away from the car.
It's a good idea but I think it invites someone to break in and pinch it, along with you're proof
Look up a little camera called Mobius, it's about the same size as your car key fob and apparently is very good for the money.
I might get one as a rear facing camera at some point

Yep, did it myself, not very hard either.
Run the power cable from interior mirror along headlining, down the back of the A pillar, and down the inner door seal. A credit card works quite well for this.
Then pop the side panel off the passenger side dash, and run the cabling behind.
I used the original power cable that has a male cigarette lighter fitting, then bought one of these extension sockets...

Cut off the male plug from the extension cable, separate the two wires and strip the covers off the ends of the two wires.
Buy an ATC fuse tap like this...

You will also need a standard size ATC 3 or 5 amp fuse.
Connect the red wire of the extension socket to the fuse tap wire.
Then open glove box. There are two cut out tabs either side, push either side in one at a time and pull the glove box down gently and it will pop out of the tabs and drop down.
Take the black ground wire and crimp a fork connector to the end (I bought mine in halfords for about £2).
Look into the side of the dash by the passenger door, there is a few bolts going into the metal support of the dashboard.
Loosen the middle one off with a 10mm (I think) socket, then slide the fork connector between the bolt and metal frame, the tighten the bolt back up
Locate fuse slot number 40. It's a 20 amp fuse and is used for the original cigarette lighter.
I used this as I only want power when the car is running, not a permanent live.
inset the 5 amp fuse into the fuse tap, it goes in the slot in line with wiring, then remove the 20 amp fuse from position 40 of the fuse box and place that into the empty slot on the fuse tap.
Now put the fuse tap back into position 40 in the fuse box where you originally had the 20 amp fuse.
Then simply plug the male socket of your power cable into the female socket of the extension cable.
Tidy up and cable tie any extra wiring and tuck away behind the dash.
There is a bit of space between the rear of the glove box and the side where you ran the black earth cable
Then push glove box back into place and replace the dash side cover, you will need to pop it in place and then gently pull the inner door seal rubber over the top of the cover so it covers the edge, then push the cover back into place on the dashboard.
It sounds like a lot but is really quite straight forward.
If you get a garage to fit it, I would assume they would charge around an hours labor if not more.
Don't be tempted to just cut the male plug off the camera power cable and wire straight in, otherwise you will fry the camera as the plug is needed to convert the voltage
