Today my Mk3 and I stayed at home to avoid the crap weather :p

Boring I guess but hey - ho!

Might be boring but very true!
If it keeps this up, I might consider trading in the Leon for that quad bike jet ski they had on top gear last Sunday

What did I do today in my Leon?

Drove 20km up a deserted motorway at 85mph in blazing sunshine and with the aircon on.

Had an 8 course lunch in a Belgian restaurant for £20 inclusive of all wine etc.

God, it's a hard life!

SixySix, thanks so much for that. I'd rather do myself and being quite into my ICE mods back in the olden days, it is not something too far out of my comfort zone. Great point on keeping the plug to convert the voltage.

I'll let you know when I have successfully completed it (if you never hear from me again, I have killed myself with a 12 volt electric shock).

Drove 350 miles North back to Scotland today!

Started really sunny in the midlands.

Weather slowly deteriorated the further North I went!

Snow foamed the car and then on to alloys with some wonder wheels.

Jet rinsed and then autoglym bodywork shampoo conditioner with another jet rinse. Then once over with some autoglym aquawax. Then finally buff alround

Let the other half drive last night and she scraped it against my sisters car  polished most of it out but will have to have another look after work tonight :(

Spent 2 hours with VCDS hooked up and changed everything to how I wanted it. Spoke to DVLA and my new V5C with own plates on was sent yesterday, so hoping that'll arrive today and I'll be able to put my plates on before work! :)

My cable was shipped a few days ago so hopefully will have it early next month.

I just want to change a few bits, mainly DRL's on with sidelights, short press fob to fold mirrors, and turn off or at least turn down the stupid stupid hill hold assist! lol

I live on a hill and when parking up, reverse into a space, then let it roll forward but takes to 2-3 seconds before it rolls forward so has got a little annoying, otherwise it's a good feature but my clutch control is good enough not to need it :)

Didn't think of the DRL one, might try it at some point later in the week. The hill assist has caught me out a couple of times at traffic lights or in queues and it looks/feels like you've forgotten to take the handbrake off. :-/

The mirrors are working perfectly both on the auto fold in and the reverse dip so far touch wood.

I have to press and hold fob for mirrors to fold in so will be nice to just use a single quick press to do the same thing :)
I don't think my car has the mirror lowering on reverse as have tried and nothing happens, so think my car missed out on that.
Will take a look in VCDS anyway once the cable arrives :)

There is also an option to have the DRL's turn off automatically when the handbrake is applied, but I think doing manually from the switch is a better idea :)

Yep mine was the same. Did my head in having to hold it. Auto should really be exactly that. It's calmed my OCD ways no end having it do it for me!!

Mine missed out too, but you can turn it on in VCDS. some people report that it doesn't return to the exact same position when you take it out of reverse, but so far mine seems to. I just can't get it to go lower, it seems to be preset and none of the altering instructions actually change the reverse position. Better than nothing though :)

Ah ok, will give the mirror lowering a try then and see what happens after it's enabled.
It feels stupid walking away from the car with your arm pointing towards the car, holding the button and watching for the mirrors to start closing, it's not natural!
Don't know about OCD, But I can imagine getting RSI with it lol
