Ah ha! mine's starting do to that, it almost gets on top of the door sill, but never actually in the car, happens on both side of the car. I'm leaving it for now, everything seems spot on, no cracks and the rubber doesn't appear hard at all.

OK thanks...is it a DIY or garage job? Do i go in there and just ask for a new set of door sills? Or will I need to be more specific? Why does it only affect the front doors? From what I’ve read anyway.

Jesus! Thieving b4stards. Anyone know how much for the rubber? Come to think of it, surely its just a matter of pulling off the current and replace with new? there must be some sort of adhesive involved?

That what I was quote, so i cleaned the old seal off and use silcone to reseal the door

Really easy to do, especially with the how to guide. Longest part is cleaning the old sealant off, as mine had been done before, but to a poor standard, so took awhile to remove all old crap!

Yep follow the guide that Lee posted. Mine was sitting on the sills for a couple of weeks then all of a sudden there was a massive pool in the back passenger side. Did both front seals last week following the guide and the sills have been completely dry since. Going to do the back ones when we have some decent weather next.

If anyone in Warwickshire is going to be doing this soon and fancies tackling it as a duo then I would be up for as I need to do this, and am somewhat apprehensive tackling it solo!

Had the same issue last year, didn't see the guide on lee's link but it's s good one. I just got a box of door seal cord from SEAT, I think it was about £20, which will do all doors and some.

I ended up having to replace my window regulator clips so took the opportunity to replace the door seal when the carrier panel was off.

All I will say is the front doors are a joy to do compared to the rear doors..lol

Had to do them when replace door lock modules.

There is some good guides on here to ukmkivs site.

No more steamy windows or wet carpets since. So well worth doing the lot, if you have the time.
