weird clunk

hey i have a 2004 ibiza 130tdi sport and recently theres a weird clunk coming from the front, it happens if you brake quite hard or go over a large bump at above 30mph. when u brake hard it only clunks once though because if you come off the brakes and brake again it doesnt do it. jacked the car up and checked every bolt and evrything is tight as my subframe once came lose. carnt really tell where the noise is comeing from other than the front. its rather a loud clunk too and it also does it when you reverse with some lock on. any help would be grateful. could it be anything to do with the power steering as it whines a bit??

I sort of get this, its if you brake kind of hard. Almost like that noise you get when you first brake on a cold morning!

Ours sounds like it may be from the rear more (drums on ours)

I cant say I have had a look at it yet though!

or thats what the same noise on my car is.
does it do it when your corner hard or accelerate hard too?

it never does it when accelerating or changing gear and hardly when cornering unless u really throw it about.seems 2 be comeing from the passenger side though.

mine only clunks when throwing it about to. im getting it changed in the next few days so ill let you know if it solves it

mine make a cluck wen i first set off driving then i dont to it agen, but i feel abit of feedback thorogh the cluch i think mines comeing from the gearbox mounting but am not 100% anyone elis,s doin this?
