The pins just make it more secure by holding the light in the correct mounting position. The screw inside the boot is the main fixing point though. Don't over tighten the screw either, because this can cause the light lense to crack.
Took light shell out give it a quick clean then it lashed down so had to put it back as quick as i could only had it out for few mins but took that pic any ways thats the grommet isn't it that cable

That's the main seal with the cable through it... Yours looks on place (mine was out completely)
There also the 2 small grommets on the side where the light curves round. The 2 locators on the light push into those ( mine also had a grommet missing )
If all those are in place, then I'd say it must be leaking somewhere else.

Not 100% but I'd say theres probably is. But does SEAT Still stock them? there probably about £65 to £70 there i hope if I get a new one it stops the leak wouldn't wamms get new one an it still leaked but definitely looks like its the a worn rubber
The green arrows is around the light area inside the boot & Its dripping down there also but the red arrows is the boot seal where its dripping in to aswell so I'm thinking ALL the problems Are coming from the boot seal???
