Missing grommet or bung.

Does anyone know where to buy these online? Thanks

In the meantime, a nice lump of Blu-tac might help! until you get the correct fitting.

For now I've used an old plumbing seal I had laying around, I knew it would come in handy one day :)

I've contacted my local Seat dealer and they're gonna order me one after new year. I'll follow up with the cost and part number when I get it, cheers.

Only 50p each from SEAT
Part Number: 8K9805673C

Hopefully this will help others in the future.

I'm getting my rear seats professionally cleaned this weekend, now the leaks have stopped...

Cheers

The small water leaks are always difficult to find, hope that sorts it for you. I think the water gets forced forwards under braking, it took me ages to find a leak on a Ford Orion years ago, the front footwells, under the rear seat and the spare wheel well were swimming in water, the source was the foam seal around the rear lamps which had perished!

Hi. I have this same issue with the stains on the seat. Just had a look to see if I had the same issue with the missing seals but unfortunately mine are all in place so unsure as to where the water is coming from. Any other ideas where it could be coming from ? Nothing obvious that I can see but I’m not as technically minded as some.

Any reply is greatly appreciated

The only thing I can suggest, is to take the back seat out like I did. My leak was so bad that the foam on the seat was soaked right through!

If it's dry underneath the seat, then it must be leaking from above, possibly the door seal or boot. Best of luck with it.

I have a leak in my boot its in the drivers side wall The carpet is damp along the bottom I'm wondering is the water coming in from the light as its wet under the spare wheel but it's only the drivers side thats wet has anyone had this issue an fixed it? The odd time the boot would be soaked but so far I've never had any footwells soaked please help

Did you remove the light and see if the main seal and grommets are in place?

No haven't yet due to the weather being bad but will once I get a chance I'm hoping it's just the light an nothing else tho The bottom of passenger sides wall is dry but the drivers is wet

That's a good place to check first, it only takes a few minutes. Also check the boot seal Just be careful popping the light out, so you don't break the locating pins. Mine had 1 broken on each light, not the best design.

I've a towel in place to let the water soak into for the main time but I'll check the light tomorrow if weather's decent have you had the same problem your self?

Pins? They wouldnt effect putting them back on again would it are letting any more water in?

If you read through this post from the beginning, you'll see the trouble I had and how I fixed it.

The pins are moulded onto the light. The light is pushed into place, so the pins sit into the grommets. You'll see what I mean when you take the light out.

Just unscrew the light from inside the boot and then gently pull it out. It kinda pops out straight back, but at a slight angle.

If a pin broke does it effect anything in anyway will it still?

The pins just make it more secure by holding the light in the correct mounting position. The screw inside the boot is the main fixing point though. Don't over tighten the screw either, because this can cause the light lense to crack.
