Lookers Stockport had the car in again all day today, had a phone call at 4ish with some bad news. They said that the noise is coming from the n/s front suspension somewhere, however they have not investigated it as they have found signs of accident repair :( They said there were some components that were new, cant remember which he said, and that where the "wishbone arm, cross member thing" cant remember what its called has signs of being forced backwards, which it did he showed me on the ramps, need a picture really to better explain. So basically because of these signs of accident damage/repair they believe this is what is causing the creak and therefore not covered by warranty.......

I think the next step is to ring the garage where i bought the car from (Renault Holdcroft, Crewe, 3-4 weeks ago) and explain it to them and get them to fix it??

Can anybody advise?

Thanks...

Simple as, Get them to take the car back or set fire to his children.
In all seriousness being sold a dodgy motor is the last thing anyone wants I'd probably take this as far as I could, If the car has been in a major accident I'm sure they have to announce it.

haha quality, i got my brother to check the plate out on HPi report as he works in insurance and it came back clear so its not been an insurance claim. I think there is something not been replaced that should have been when repairs were carried out or something has not been put back right, but seat wouldnt touch it today cos of the warranty. Everything rests on what these shits say 2moro

Let's hope you get the result you desire.
If they come back and say "No crash damage" have it checked independantly if they find crash damage, Threaten to Take him to court.
If he shrugs it off.
Find his children.

That's what I'd do

Hahaha i like. Got the car back this morning. They agreed with Seat and pointed out there had been a new lower arm, however it was not bolted/screwed in properly, they tightenend it up and all is silent... SO it seems like its sorted. I wonder if it was SEAT that didnt do it properley after initailly assessing and finding the broken gearbox mount. Not going back to SEAT Stockport now anyway. Glad it seems sorted

Sorry to sound boring, but if it has been kerbed etc and bits have been replaced, your car now needs a proper four wheel re-alignment - try to find an indie VAG specialist that knows these cars and has and can use a modern alignment rig, and he will be able to move things around so that you car will run true - this will also put your mind to rest over any other permanant twisting or bending that happened during that incident - so that you will not need to go shouting to your vendor sometime later when your car starts "eating" any or all of its tyres!
