its waste gate chatter i think ure after its done by a bung isnt it i was after the same sound but i was told by a tuner that it would mess everything sumet to do with the car thinking it wasnt getting rid of air inuf or sumet n it would send the car onto limp mode hope it helps abit

my mates got one of the DV's your on about on his 400bhp pulsar gti-r, sounds like a pigeon stood behind a microphone! he's changing it though as he's gone through 2 turbos already and he was told it was the dv that was knackering the turbo!

as mork said... chatter = BAD.

its pressure not being properly vented through to the intake system. this then causes pressure to build up then back in to the turbo ...

if the turbo is pushing air -> (that way) and the pressure is so much that its getting forced <- (that way) then, -> v's <- = turbo stalling.

turbo stalling buggers the bearings big time.
