as opposed to the Fiesta Zetec limited edition in yellow or lime green with a chequered roof that looks f u * k i n g hideous!!!!!!!!!!

trust me, i know someone that bought one! they cost about the same as the Ibiza FR (coz i had one at the time) and i know which one i'd prefer the Fiesta didn't even come with traction control or climate!!

Some cars suit a contrasting colour roof. I've seen a pic of a new Ibis white S3 with a black roof, and then the CSL M3 has a carbon roof BUT again it should be treated with caution.

Cars like the new Mini / Smart / Fiat 500 which are almost overly designed / stylised can carry off the design statement fashion items. Problem is the Leon is a slightly ageing classicly designed family hatchback. It's designed to get old gracefully.

You can freshen a Leon with new rims, lowering it, putting an LCR spoiler on it, giving it a damn good clean, add some subtle tints and upmarket lighting (HID's not NEON's!). Jobs a good'un. I appreciate each and everyone to their own, but you wouldn't ask your gran to tattoo her face would you?!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! i put some on my mates mazda 323F a few years back and people took the piss out of it all the time. You could hear what people said about it when you pulled up to traffic lights etc. It definately turned heads tho, But then they laughed!!! i would never do it for anyone again and advise anyone to not do it either.

if you want viper strips might as well get a focus... or fiesta.... and then you can look really silly! Lets not forget that these strips will be a performance mod... while your there you can put some speed holes on the bonnet and a 14 foot spoiler on the back

trial and error , i dont think the stipes would suit tbh, possibly a different roof , i,e black,

i would freshen up by , smoothing contor lines / mouldings / de stripping stuff , splitters etc ,

but i like my leon as it is , everything is already colour coded, i would consider a deeper spoiler or a splitter , some tints , and some wheels , or even different colour wheels , but that be about it

each to their own m8 , if you feel you want anything , its you who got to drive it ,

if you want serious looks slam it to the floor , and keep it subtle - everyone comments on the simple subtle approach

on the mk3 ibiza cupra, some of them came out with a chequered flag effect that looked like a faint flag draped over the side of the bonnet and front wing. it looked awesome and if anyone knows where i can find it PM me asap cause it looked bril. alternatively the mk 2 leon fr chequered flag for the rear door/wing. cant find that one either. both look good and 'fitting'. i would honestly cry if i saw a leon with stripes.
