VERY squeeky brembo's

My LCR's brembo's squeek (as i think all of them do) when i'm coming to a stop gently, quite loudly. This doesn't bother me much. But they also squeek whenever i'm NOT breaking, upto a speed of about 50mph where the noise disappears. Does anyone else find this? The noise is so bad i can't drive the car with the window down it is so irritating!

Just changed the front tyre's and a good look at disc's and pads. Disc's have got a lip coming on them, so i'm guessing thats why. Thanks for your replies. So new discs and pads just round the corner too by the look of things...

Often do have a lip - the maximum wear on them is one millimeter per side (total of 2mm per disc).

So if you can lose a 1p coin against the lip...

Whats the mod for the rear? Mine make a hell of a racket. The fronts do too but its intemittant ... almost sounds like a wheel bearing is gone at times ..

If you are a heavy braker the front pads can go in 8.5k miles or less, maybe the squeaking is worn pads......the sensor has been known not to come on even with pads down to the metal

I had a 200sx which had a similar problem...turned out one of the pistons was not releasing properly in the caliper. Does the noise go away when you press the brake pedal lightly with your left foot while driving round the corner?

Thanks Rudd... Front pads are ok still got some meat on them same with back ones which are squealing like hell every time I get to about 5 mph when stopping.... I don't expect them to be silent but the occasional droning from the front and squealing from the rear is a pain in the backside.

What is the "fix" for the rear brakes?
