Hi all

I wrote a small thread asking about bearings the other day, put the LCR into the local dealer and they've confirmed it. But also found both front lower ball joints are knackered and need replacing. WTF the car has only done 11K

Anyone else had this happen and is it normal should I wonder why it happened?. My other car ball joints went after 55K??

Covered by warranty at least

Cheers

Mine had wheel bearings at 25000 miles. They said nothing about ball joints though?

Also had problems with wheels, steering column, suspension setup issues as the dealer didn't check the tracking afterwards even though they used a clamp and a hammer to get the bearings off!?

It would surprise me if the dealer knackered them doing something....

My local dealer is pretty helpful, he ensured me they would sort out all the tracking and alignment after the new joints and bearings are fitted.

I wonder if the car will feel tighter to drive after, so long as it come back in one piece. Always makes me nervous putting it in, you know it'll get trashed on testing!

Man I know that feeling..... The nerves.... is it going to come back ok.... I ended up going to JBS to get 4 wheel allignment that found it was out again?

My dealer was just unreliable. They are a bit better now I have complained over and over.... It took a while.

Damn right... the problem is mine goes to a franchise dealer and I probably get the numpty trainee tech who is training on suzuki.... Its a definite problem as most of the dealers do not have specific techs just for SEAT's...?

That is why mine is off to JBS from now on....

PS: mine is 04.
