Evening lads well I'm a week in with the Leon and actually having trouble deciding whether to keep it or not these last couple of days.
It's not as good on petrol as I first thought. It must have had a bit left in when I first filled it up, despite the gauge reading empty, as I let it get low the other day before filling up and I'm not looking at anything like the range I got after my first fill up. No biggie but it's looking like 40 miles to a tenner, whatever that is in MPG.
I still dislike the FWD feel and I feel a bit old for it, truth be told. When I've driven it hard on the road to get a feel for it, to try and
help in my decision to keep it or not, I've felt like a bit of a boy-racer flying past people etc. I don't mean round the doors but on dual carriageways or country roads and not necessarily even overtaking, just passing people going the other way.
When I look at the mods and money it's had spent on it I think "Keep it, it's a performance bargain." but then I think "I just potter to work and back so do I need the hassle of having a bottom end rebuild to make it reliable, etc, etc?"
I'm going to come to a decision tomorrow and take it back on Monday if I'm not keeping it.
I don't want to risk anything happening to it whilst in my care if I'm not buying it.
Nevermind, I'll see what I decide.
