Tracking issue after new track rod end and cv boot!!!

Cupra r 04 plate recently went in for its mot about three weeks ago, failed on a track rod end and cv boot, I had these items done, and then the car got took round the corner and had its tracking re done.

Got the car home next morning I drove to work and the steering wheel was at ten to 2, not being happy I took the car back and had the tracking re done by the same lad, got the car home once again this time noticing my wheel was slightly still to the left, not as bad as ten to 2, barely even 5 to 2. So once again I took it back to him at the weekend, he redone the tracking even unseizing the other track rod end and getting it all lined up with the lasers on the machine etc.

There hasn't been a massive difference in the wheel position, my friend who's a mechanic looked at it and said because its not that bad it shouldn't cause a problem to the tyre wear and it wouldn't cause a problem because its not that bad.

The lad who did the tracking does all of seats cars and says the cupra r is a pain in the arse out of all the cars he's ever done, anybody ever had tracking problems and should I just leave it for the time being?, I don't think there's a lot else the lad could do.

Not a cupra r but I had a Mondeo sttdci and despite multiple attempts I could never get it tracked so that the wheel was centralised, done my head right in and my cupra r is the same after one attempt

Yeah the lad who done it said out of all the seats he ever done, and he does them all for the main dealer the cupra r is the worst hes ever done. Its done my head in now to be honest, I dunno if I can deal with the hassle of going over again. Wat would anyone recommend just leaving it? its got its service in a few months may bring it up again then, just don't want my tyres ****ing up.

As long as the road wheel track is set correct, then the steering wheel position does not matter, although it is very annoying when it doesn’t sit straight.

I had the tracking set correctly and then centred the steering wheel myself.
I just turned the track rod ends one full revolution at a time on both sides. One side clockwise, the other side anti clockwise. This keeps the wheel alignment correct, but moving the steering wheel to the straight ahead position.
Just work slow and it’ll be fine.

Try swap wheels around as the tyres could cause the steering wheel to b out
