It still fits not bad but the grommet type thing going into the scuttle on the passenger side gets in the way of it, could be done with being half an inch higher to clear the grommet.
Ahh ok, i might hold off a little until i get onto using my mates ramp after the mot. I planned on doing it on the ground, on my own too haha

Can't beat crackle black.
Deffo not... It's awesome! :p

Super thread, most impressed, keep up the good work. Green with envy though as how I wish for a unit like yours.
Thanks mate, much appreciated! :D

Haha you don't really want one like mines, its just a tip inside, with my Polo taken up one side and the two other guys I share it with's junk taken up the rest lol
There's no room to get a car in and work on it, hence why its just the front end slightly in, enough to keep you sheltered if it rains

Not updated in a good while. A lot of things have happened.

For starters, about a 2 and a bit month ago somebody smashed into me on a roundabout. Long story cut short. The other party is trying to blame me for it when clearly it was all his fault. So it's still currently going through the insurance as I'm fighting it out to make sure he gets 100% blame! Pain in the arse and takes ages! It's been written off for sure but I'll be buying it back, As I've spend to much money time and effort on this car.

Here's the damage...

IMG_2098_zpscce45bb8.jpg

Neglected the car for a good month as it depressed me.

So since I found out I'll defiantly be able to buy the car back I started fitting parts I had been gathering up in the garage.

Got my hands on some centre caps for the Superturismo's... Real Carbon ones! :p

IMG_2407_zpse8ce0333.jpg

Got some 312's which got beadblasted so gave them a lick of paint...

IMG_2275_zpsf555fb14.jpg

IMG_2277_zps79c429b8.jpg

So got the carriers milled down 5mm to fit...

IMG_2303_zps4e39a6cb.jpg

Re-drilled the discs and painted them...

IMG_2390_zps0ee58039.jpg

Bought braided hoses, Ferodo Preimer pads and some Racing Fluid. Everything ready to be fitted...

IMG_2374_zps3bac90f2.jpg

Headed to Dougie's @ Trix for the fitting to begin...

312mm versus 280mm

IMG_2413_zpsc55211e4.jpg

Fitted...

IMG_2414_zps30f0d7bb.jpg

IMG_2423_zps560b4fc1.jpg

Was able to snap up this k03s turbo with a Forge Actuator for a good price, so that will be getting fitted at a later date when I save up money to get a Stage2 remap!

IMG_2408_zpsd9321969.jpg

Now it was time to fit my Toyosport intercooler :D

How it all started off...

IMG_2454_zps98abc48e.jpg

IMG_2453_zps99e669a6.jpg

Time to dismantle...

IMG_2455_zps305c601e.jpg

IMG_2460_zpsf816e4f6.jpg

IMG_2461_zps5a71dd86.jpg

AC, radiator and pipe work all ripped out...

IMG_2463_zpsa7232383.jpg

While I done that I painted the block, alternator and bracket and anything else I could access really.

Chassis legs were filthy, so cleaned them also...

IMG_2464_zpsff714b15.jpg

IMG_2467_zps63a85f6b.jpg

IMG_2465_zpscab6e23a.jpg

IMG_2466_zps4179e2d9.jpg

IMG_2468_zpsa969fa7c.jpg

Tucked away in my mates Unit for the night as there's no room in mine lol...

IMG_2472_zps01f0f704.jpg

New versus old...

IMG_2476_zps39073052.jpg

IMG_2478_zpsd8bd28b5.jpg

Gave it more of a clean and fitted the new route with the charge pipe...

IMG_2480_zps95280292.jpg

Had to push the radiator back to make way for the cooler so made up some brackets...

IMG_2483_zpsf3c55330.jpg

IMG_2485_zpsaf978e13.jpg

Also had to split the crash bar to make room...

IMG_2479_zpscfdb7f5c.jpg

Test fitted the cooler and it slotted in well but relised the cross member was in the way...

IMG_2487_zps1cc7f0e3.jpg

So got the grinder out and got rid of them. Made up a bar to hang the intercooler...

IMG_2494_zps50a47584.jpg

Test fit number 2, everything seems good now...

IMG_2496_zps0141b303.jpg

Bolted it up and refitted the crash bar and bonnet hinge...

IMG_2499_zps4fa9db1d.jpg

IMG_2500_zpsa7ba14c0.jpg

Placed the bumper on to see how it looked/sat in the mouth area. Looks awesome! :D

Noticed I couldn't shut the bonnet in the hinge since due to me grinding off the cross member. So I made up a bar to stiffen it back up. Solved the problem right away...

IMG_2506_zps3b273ef4.jpg

IMG_2508_zpse7fb11ce.jpg

Time to tackle the pipework...

IMG_2509_zps41ee6e3e.jpg

IMG_2430_zps7e769d01.jpg

Mocked up to give me a rough idea on the route...

IMG_2510_zps84db80a1.jpg

IMG_2512_zps20663aa6.jpg

IMG_2514_zpsf058d68b.jpg

IMG_2518_zps79cdb547.jpg

Made up brackets for the bottom of the intercooler, bolted to the subframe...

IMG_2520_zpsdac2b368.jpg

Re-cut and trimmed the pipes and hoses down for the final positioning before bolting up.

The left over cut ups lol...

IMG_2534_zps09f70fe5.jpg

Fitted 3" ducting for the air filter...

IMG_2522_zpsa91bdd2a.jpg

IMG_2524_zps2ca09837.jpg

IMG_2526_zps85fb383b.jpg

All running :) :D

IMG_2528_zps5b895f6f.jpg

IMG_2529_zpsd33a8d25.jpg

Had to grind/trim the bumper down in areas before it could be fitted flush...

IMG_2539_zps98904834.jpg

Quite a lot was trimmed off

IMG_2542_zps5e2ef28f.jpg

Relocated the horns and washer bottle...

IMG_2543_zpse747b3f3.jpg

New, slightly bigger Jetex filter over my old one...

IMG_2488_zpsebdda9bd.jpg

IMG_2559_zpse504c3df.jpg

IMG_2538_zpsa1986417.jpg

Bumper on and everything sitting good!

IMG_2556_zpsf1938ad8.jpg

Finished engine bay! [B)]

IMG_2552_zpsb1f37c53.jpg

IMG_2553_zps43a6fdfd.jpg

Will be getting the pipes all powder-coated crackle black after the winter months.

And how I ended the 5 days... Same way it came in :)...

IMG_2557_zpsf9d1ede1.jpg

Fitted the plate after this shot ;) (Sadly)

Big thanks to Chambers for the help and answering my question beforehand for fitting this cooler! Couldn't have down it without your input mate!

Alot done there and all looking good too.
Not so good about the crash, and worse hes trying to blame you. Hopefully it will all get sorted out though!
