You can do with a spanner and a set of mole grips. You just need to be able to stop the centre bit spinning while you undo the nut.

I still have one to do, so I will try and get some pics today, its really easy.

The take a 16mm ring spanner and place over the nut, take the mole grips and lock carefully into the flat side of the top of the shock.

Fitting the new one is just the reverse of this.

When loosening just make sure you have a gap in between the grips and the spanner so the nut can move, once it’s loose it come off with fingers.

Never seen one of the tools although I wonder if one of the old brake adjusting spanner’s might fit, if I need to ever do this job on daughter’s car.

I don't think so, that make seems to be the one that most people wanting to get one buy.

So I'm going to be the only one that does not have one?

I've only ever seen them in guides. Never seen one for sale. So I just use an electric rattle gun and blast them off. LOL.
