Hey brad, told you it was the best colour lol. I'm still on the stock intercooler, don't think I'm gonna upgrade it to be honest. For what I use my car for I just don't think I'll see the benefit, considering the cost. Although saying that if a 2nd hand one comes up cheap at the right time I could so easily be tempted.

I'm actually still waiting on blueflame to send me my catback, but they've promised me it's being sent out tomorrow. Can't wait to get that sound on my car. Although I drove through a tunnel on Friday and Pur my foot down with the window open and I was surprised how good it sounded. Normally my intake drowns out the exhaust noise.

I think I'm gonna have a little break on spending gor a couple of months as I need some spending money when I take my missus to Florida in June. But when I come back I think it'll be WALK and engine mounts.

I would like to upgrade the suspension but I haven't really looked into it too much. I'm more power than precision lol.

As soon as I get my catback I'll be putting some comparison videos together as they are hard to come by.

I used to be the same

but

Having fitted uprated suspension to a standard Cupra, it makes the car so much better and sharper, I would definitely recommend doing it.

Also, you will probably be ok just now with regard to the intercooler with it being colder, but when the summer comes, your car will be panting like an old dog in the back of a hot car with the windows up. You will also find that the car will breathe better and pull harder, for longer, when its fitted :)

I know what you mean, I went out in monster motorsports cupra which has uprated suspension and it definitely felt more planted and more comfortable than mine. I keep changing my mind on doing suspension or not. I'm sure one day I'll decide to do it and just order it lol.

Same with the intercooler really, although I'll probably keep my eyes open for a 2nd hand one, if I had the money at the time I would have bought cuprakens intercooler when I bought his itg.

The only other thing is that I may change my car next year so I don't want to pump too much into it when it could be used on the next one.

Although if Invisible's new evo is quicker than mine then I'll need to spend some money asap lol.

It may or may not be quicker, but it will be able to put its power down better without question, and it will handle better. Also remember tuning is a big thing on an Evo too ;)

Oh I know, that's why it'll be a straight line test from 30 lol. I've found him on mlr and he's got a black evo 9 gt so I'll see if I can drag him out one day this week lol.

My next car is gonna be a big fat yank tank I think. I've always wanted a mustang so I'm gonna get a v8 and mod it to around 500bhp. Probably not a huge amount quicker than a stage 2+ because of the weight but the noise and the looks are to die for.

Bloody hell! I've finally managed to get my Blueflame catback fitted so now it's a full tbe.

It sounds evil!

It's fairly quiet inside when just pottering about but when you got WOT it absolutely screams!
I'm impressed it actually drowns out the noise of the ITG which is now easy feat. It gives the car much more character now instead of sounding like a diesel.

After all the hassle with blueflame it's definitely worth it (both for the sound and price).

I have to admit I did spend a bit of time this afternoon having a play in a multi-story car park :funk:

I tried to make a vid but my proper camera died and the attempt of using my iphone was just terrible lol. I'm off to see the mrs this weekend but I'll make a comparison video when I get back as I've got some decent footage of just the dp.

Honestly though you need to hear the car in the flesh to understand just how good the sound is.

I thought I'd post up some pics of it on my car, to give an idea of what it looks like. Sorry for the poor iphone pics.

I know they aren't that interesting but they'll do until I get some time to do some better ones on friday.

I drove to Birmingham to spend the weekend with my other half and can happily report that there is no drone at all at cruising speeds and to be honest it sounds standard on the motorway...

However... going wot is definitely an experience! It sounds fairly deep and loud and then when you get to around 3500rpm it just reverberates around your ear drums! But just mooching around town its still fairly quiet, not like a saxo with a cannon on it.

Me and the mrs went to the Bull Ring on sunday and as luck would have it I had to park on the top floor of the multistory there... 8 floors up! I'm just glad she accepts the fact that I'm a big child lol!
Also I conveniently took the route back through several tunnels and, my god it sounds incredible!

Definitely glad I persevered with Blueflame's shocking customer service as the product is just brilliant.

I decided to go out today and take some vids of the new exhaust and what a waste of time lol. I jammed my camera into the gap in the seats and pointed it forwards and set off. I did a nice route of all types of roads and driving styles so I could edit it and give people a good idea of what it would be like to live with.

Well... Pushing my tiny dv camera into the gap pushed the zoom switch and so it zoomed right in to nothingness so the all the video shows is a few buildings, some trees and some lamp posts. I'm also guessing that the microphone was buried in the seat because the quality is terrible and sounds like you've got a pillow over your face lol.

Looks like I'll have to give it another go when I borrow a proper suction mount of one of my friends.

It still gives the same jet sound but its much deeper and louder. I can't imagine anyone fitting one and being unhappy with the sound.
It's a pity your so far away or I would have said come and have a listen.

I think if I had gone with milltek I would have found it too quiet with gunning it.
