personally i would steer clear of all ebay tints and self kits - you need to be a pro to apply them and thats something I aint lol

A decent car tinter would charge around £300 for the whole car i believe.. from research that is... Thats with a non-tinted security film on the fronts (as the law permits) and whatever on the back 3. Figure is only what i remember - do a search on here and all will be revealed :)

i did a search and the sites that i found were all "call us.. and we will give you a quote (hear you choke and die the end of the phone, sit there laughing while you turn 10 shades of blue then grey.. and only then.. call the ambulance) kinda thing

i will roumage some more.

tis a shame.. cause i have a list of things to do to this car so far the list is over 1K already.. and thats just a private plate and tinting.

maybe a beat up old golf is cheaper!!

lol - depends on where you are in the country as to which company you go for - recently a company advertised on here in my area (south coast) for just on £300 for the whole car (as above) and £230ish i think for just the rear of the car.

You get hooked on the modifying and you will spend spend spend - i said i wasnt going to do anything to my car and recon i have already spent 3k on it in just over a year... recon theres even more money to be spent next year too!

Based in Leicester but may travel if there is more than a couple of cars to do. Good quality work and highly recommended. He's done a few cars on here, did my Leon for £150. :D

the tints that you had, were they film ones or the other way? (the other way being a gas treatment or something like that)

Film I think, the windows were removed, cleaned, prepared and the film was applied. To be honest, ive looked closely at them, at you cant tell that it is a film. Then again, thats why its £200 plus.

Had my vectra done for £150 cash-in-hand. I had 35% all round aswell. You can have Limo or 100% on the rear and rear windscreen, 35 % in the front and no tint on the front windscreen.

I had mine done by cappucino tints who are a mobile tinting company! They come to your doorstep and do it and i paid £230 for mine! They are based in the north of england (From around manchester-newcastle)

Medium smoke on all 5 windows and they made a cracking job....

those tints look really nice, but if I am going to do it i am going to make sure i am within the law - cant afford to be pulled over and have to remove them. Probably gonna get security film on the front windows or something.

Looks really nice tho
