Just had the clips arrived, they do just the job.

I accidentally ordered 2 lots of two (thinking it was 99p for one because in my haste I didn't bother to read the title of the slae, duh!) and I am actually quite glad as the rears now have one at the front and one of the back of each (giving that piece of mind that one won't wave goodbye if a passenger decides to open the window while going full pelt on the motorway) and I have poped the extra two I recived in the middle of each of the fronts as it seems to push them up into the window recess that little bit more neatly, I wish I had taken a before and after of that as its hard to describe......

After just fitting mine can see what you mean by the extra clips on the front although if I hadn't ordred extra clips I would be more inclined to put two on the rears and one on the front able the shape of the fronts means they hold themselves in a bit better. I had a set of these on my bocanegra for 2 years with no clips at all and they never shown any sign of coming out at any speed. After fitting them not sure if it's just me or if there is a bit more road noise :s anybody else noticed any increase cabin noise???

I wouldn't even say it was wind noise, it's just like the outside is a little louder. Not something that will annoy just something that I have noticed since putting them on. I will take the clips out of the front ones to see if it makes any difference just put some extra double sided tape on the lip to keep them secure.

In work atm so can't check but I'm sure I put the rears at 1/3 and 2/3 along the length of the deflector and the fronts I had bought an extra clip for each side so just looked at which parts of the deflector were not quite sitting right and stuck them in there. Doesn't show on the diagram which way round the clips go either with the little spike but looking at the video that was posted earlier in the thread looks like the are supposed to fit so the spike goes into the window seal (I think :s) The clips could have been better designed so that they had another spike pointing up on the other side of the clip that would 'grab' the deflector and hold it in place.

Thanks Robby! Would you mind double checking tomorrow? Ive test fitted one deflector without removing the backing etc. But without the clips. The pictures in the instructions make it look like the clips straddle the closed window but that cant be true! Enjoy the rest of yoyr shift mate and have a good weekend ;)

They do straddle the closed window and that's why I think there is increased noise as they might stop the window fully sealing. But then i would expect the anti-crush to wind the window back down again if that was the case :s. My Heko ones for my bocanegra didn't have any clips and they were no louder than without them. I'll have to have a play over the weekend and let you know how I get on.

Thats an eye opener. Im in two minds now about fitting them if im honest. I hated the noise in my mk2 so it would be counter intuitive to increase it on my new mk3. I suppose its not a one way street though.
