New Number Plates Fitted
Well it finally happened, driving home on Sunday night when our friendly 'black rats' decided to pull me over. He was straight away pointing at my number plates and gave me quite a spanking for them. So after receiving a fine I decided to change them. I had a set of plates sitting at home waiting to go on but never got round to doing it. The old plates were a bit shoddy, italic writing and no spacing so I was asking for trouble.
So heres a pic of the new front plate:
Nice set of illegal plates...........well you didn't think I was going to get legal ones did you?
I have also been playing about with VAG COM lately as I want to get a much better understanding on what's going on with the car when on the move, interesting stuff I must say.
I wasn't totally happy with the recent work I did on the car, mainly the oil catch can system so decided to strip everything out and do it again. After a few hours work on Saturday I am now happy with all the parts fitted (Badger5 3" TIP, Forge UNOS Manual Boost Controller, and the Oil Catch Can).
The MBC has been installed to work with the N75 valve as the aim will be to handle boost spikes once the car is mapped. Currently the car is on the OEM map and therefore the MBC hasn't been fully set up. I have the stiffer spring currently in there and have the MBC turned fully to the left "-" which Forge have confirmed makes it relatively off.
I also purchased a set of new mats for the car as my old ones were badly worn and was making the interior look tacky. Purchased a set on eBay which has Cupra R written on them and I must say I have very impressed with the quality. However I haven't actually put them in, my brother also thought I needed new mats and went and purchased a different set off eBay for me. These are plain with a nice red outer layer and look sweet. I have decided to put these on for daily use and will use the Cupra R ones for shows.
Talking about shows, summer needs to hurry up. I'm in the mood for show season
