Hi mate,

what catch can have you got?

I'm after one but will probably end up with the same problem as you as I've got a front upper strut brace aswell.

Hello mate,

Went for the Toyo Sports Catch Can - Mine is silver but can't see silver on the shop anymore

Also needed:

I will get some pictures up soon. The issue with mine is that my strut brace sits lower than the S3 one people tend to go for. If I had that one then I don't think I would have as much of a issue. Soon as I sort it I will get a better update together on how I did all of this

Thanks mate, all down to the photographer. My car looks clean when in reality it was a filthy $lut :p

Got some good ideas mainly from your car & Darren's which I need to get a move on and do

Spill the ideas from his and my car ;)

That's what I like about platinum grey, even when it's pretty dirty, it can look clean from a close-ish distance! :cartman:

  • Dark wheels
  • De-badge the boot
  • Get my bloody new plates on as that front one of mine looks crap
  • Some more Carbon Fibre goodies
  • paint the manifold black (not all of it as it is polished but the areas which are not polished)

That's some ;)

Nice plans mate. I enjoy!

Carbon fibre bits always a winner..

I really want my wheels done now too. I think both of ours will look pretty different come the summer RR meet :)

Thanks mate :) It's getting there slowly. Been a bit quiet lately but things will be coming into play soon.

Got my new carpet mats today, as the old ones were badly worn. Also did a quick log using VAG COM to see how the car is doing however I couldn't get it up to full whack due to space. Will be doing better ones on a better strip ;)

New Number Plates Fitted

Well it finally happened, driving home on Sunday night when our friendly 'black rats' decided to pull me over. He was straight away pointing at my number plates and gave me quite a spanking for them. So after receiving a fine I decided to change them. I had a set of plates sitting at home waiting to go on but never got round to doing it. The old plates were a bit shoddy, italic writing and no spacing so I was asking for trouble.

So heres a pic of the new front plate:

Nice set of illegal plates...........well you didn't think I was going to get legal ones did you?

I have also been playing about with VAG COM lately as I want to get a much better understanding on what's going on with the car when on the move, interesting stuff I must say.

I wasn't totally happy with the recent work I did on the car, mainly the oil catch can system so decided to strip everything out and do it again. After a few hours work on Saturday I am now happy with all the parts fitted (Badger5 3" TIP, Forge UNOS Manual Boost Controller, and the Oil Catch Can).

The MBC has been installed to work with the N75 valve as the aim will be to handle boost spikes once the car is mapped. Currently the car is on the OEM map and therefore the MBC hasn't been fully set up. I have the stiffer spring currently in there and have the MBC turned fully to the left "-" which Forge have confirmed makes it relatively off.

I also purchased a set of new mats for the car as my old ones were badly worn and was making the interior look tacky. Purchased a set on eBay which has Cupra R written on them and I must say I have very impressed with the quality. However I haven't actually put them in, my brother also thought I needed new mats and went and purchased a different set off eBay for me. These are plain with a nice red outer layer and look sweet. I have decided to put these on for daily use and will use the Cupra R ones for shows.

Talking about shows, summer needs to hurry up. I'm in the mood for show season :D
