Having to get a company car due to increaing milage and job changing into something a little different over time. Decided on my way home from work to pop into the Seat garage and ask if they wanted to buy my cupra R back (without much hope, but god loves a trier). Quite surprised to know that they are quite actively looking for them, he would get the franchise' buyer to phone me today with an offer.

now its a 54 reg, with tracker auto changer and re-map 22k on the clock and in pristine condition bar a few stonechips on the lower part of the front bumper.

11k :( is that really how much its worth? or is the guy trying to rape me without the courtesy for a reach around?

anyone thats recently traded sold one that can offer comparisons would be appreciated.

edited to say: its metalic silver so not a colour that's difficult to shift on

sorry to say it mate but with the new model LEON just come out then the dealer will give you what he wants as most people will be lookin at new cars meanin new models,a few years back i wanted a vectra GSI and went to see a few liked them and nearly bought one(i know sad and they are a big barge)but, the week after they brought out the new model and the price dropped by 3k and thats a week later, unfortunately thats the car trade 4 ya and when a new model comes out the old model looses money fast, ive got a y reg 20vt cupra and will not even check what its worth now as to me its worth a lot more than most people will even think of payin....
Sell it private and see what you can get as you will get more that way hopefully

Not very encouraging but Seat are shifting all their old LCRs. Coupers in St Albans have loads at the moment (5x 55 reg with 10 miles on the clocks for £16499).

No I don't work for them. just bought one. Free case of wine for me if anyone mentions me when buying one ;-)

The thing is, because you’re not trading it in against a new car, the dealer has no margin to give you on the car. He’ll have to shift it and want to make a profit on it at the same time. 11k seems reasonable as a trade sale, but as said before you should get more if you sell it private.

funny enough we had a 54 plate LEON FR TDi on a 54 plate traded in at work only a couple of days ago and the seat stealer up the road bgought it off us for £12500.
The leons seem to hold there money up this way for some reason
