Nice idea, hopefully it won't run out for you anytime soon!

Mine however is superglued on. It'll be amusing when it comes to selling up/part ex'in the car with that plate stuck on.

Haha  cheers mate. Yes I think they could almost pass as twins from side on, both platinum and lowered with standard colour wheels. Well mine won't be in a few months or once winter has passed and I get them refurbed..

Money is always the key isn't it! I'm doing mods as and when I can really. In December I'm getting the new milltek turbo back system with the stage 2 map which will just bring everything together!

UPDATE: just ordered up a Jabbasport heat shield to support the Jetex setup I will be fitting. Waiting for the shield to arrive before fitting the filter, as much as I am tempted now to install it.

Also I've got the silicone tubing now for the N249 bypass, but no time to do it this weekend. Been suffering with a virus all week aswell which stopped me from going outside yesterday and getting stuff done :(

Oh there's the HID kit in my room which also needs fitting! Lol..

:cartman: My resistance to fitting the jetex was ridiculously weak as it turns out, and I got it fitted literally half hour ago! Ignore the colour scheme for now, that will change, but the filter will remain blue. Easy removal of old airbox indeed and fitting the jetex was even easier. Whole thing took about 25 mins.

The blue silicone piece will be ducktaped red next time you see it and I'll have a jabbasport heatshield from the kit installed too :funk:

I must say this though... How awesome do these filters sound!!! Absolutely immense. Love it. Really does sound a bit atmospheric now and the 007p has really come alive! Took it for a test run to make sure all was ok and I'm a bit ashamed to say I booted it past a crowd of people at a bus stop to see if the attention factor was there and boy it turns some heads!

Great stuff :D

Quick update..

So as I've not been happy with the colour scheme of the Jetex setup, I ordered one of these 2 days ago..
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=120548328952&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT

The above will compliment my little pressie that turned up today a bit ahead of schedule, see below... :funk:

Carpics008.jpg

It's the Jabbasport heat shield from their induction kit for the Cupra R. I ordered the shield separate from them this Saturday gone and it turned up today. They said it would be the end of the week maybe Saturday, due to them needing more material in to cut mine and another 2 for the Cupra R that we're on their order list!

Looking forward to the silicone joiner turning up now, that'll need cutting down a couple of inches when it turns up, but when it does the heat shield will be getting fitted aswell so it's all done.

The Jetex is still performing very well so far this week, very impressed. Took the car onto some A-road blasts and slip road motorway runs to really get the torque going and I'd say it's just as strong if not better than before. My mpg seems slightly better than when I had the panel filter, no idea why as I thought it would have been worse with the open cone.

Really want one of these, seriously considering getting one! I'm very interested to hear what it sounds like, you going to the Bluewater meet?

The heatshield? Silicone joiner? Jetex filter? Or all 3? :p

The heatshield seems top draw, I know I could have laboured on to make a halfwit bodge-job, but when I saw a few bay pics on here of other people's Jabba shields I had to have one! It's all shiney [B)]

Well the Jetex sounds, how can I put it, amazing! Very whooshy, but the filters aren't small so don't expect it to be on the quiet side. Normal driving you don't even notice it though really like when your off boost and just cruising along. There's a slight growl to let you know it's there at times, but when you boot it, everyone knows it's there. I personally love it and think this car should sound as good as it looks. I just really need the full Milltek now and my stage 2 map.

Is the meet at Bluewater on the 14th? I work alternate weekend days on my shift at work, but I believe I'm off that one so yeah I'll be there. What time does it start? :)

Nice one t0m, just ordered a Jabba heatshield today too, hopefully get that next week :) Think you were right to get the red silicone tube, I have red TIP and red silicone next to the blue Jetex and I think it looks fine but red TIP and blue silicone hose looks a bit odd!

Tidy motor in general too :)

Cheers for the comments mate :) Spent the last half hour editing my 1st post on here as it was never meant to be a readers ride! But might aswell seeing as a moderator collated some of my posts.

She's getting there, but there is sooooo much to do still. I don't know about you, but I have a list much much bigger than the current modifications done so far

Nice work ordering the shield though! When you open the box you think you've ordered a mirror as you see the shine!! Great work by Jabba manufacturing this, must say.

Defo agree with you on the joiner. As much as it's working fine now, it's not right in colour combo, and it needs securing down, hence the jabba shield.

I've just gone on my eBay and noticed that the red silicone joiner has dispatched today, so that will be with me maybe before the weekend. YES!!

Future planned mods guys what do you think of my plans, opinons welcome, but keep it clean ;)

-New front splitter
-New style full Milltek turbo back sports cat(200 cell) system with stage 2 AMD map (December)
-Golf Mk4 R32 front arb
-Full Superpro bushing kit
-Neuspeed rear arb. 23 or 25mm???
-Forge shortshifter
-EBC Ultimax discs front, OEM discs on the rear
-Ferodo DS2500 pads all round
-6mm spacers front(I think 6mm but might be 10 yet! need to see some LCR's to make my mind up)
-15mm rear spacers. Pretty sure I want 15, the rears are far too 'inwards' for my liking currently!
-New tyres once winter passes, thinking Toyo's as I love their grip. And as I won't be using the car to get to work I hopefully won't get through these so quick as I understand the Toyo's tend to wear quicker than others.

On a more boring note, my rear spoiler has unhinged on one side and I need it sorting, but my mate has said it will need to be done at SEAT garage. Ut oh! But while it's in there, I need a new rear towing cover as one of the clips on mine has snapped and it doesn't sit flush with the rear diffuser. Small things, but they irritate me knowing they're there

I've got the R32 front ARB in my loft, decided to hold off fitting until I've got a rear ARB to go with it, and possibly until the winter's over (don't want it too rigid in the slippy conditions). I was going to get a Whiteline rear ARB, they're about 90 quid cheaper than any others I've seen (including Neuspeed ones) and come in 22 or 24mm which for me would be enough to balance out the R32 front ARB. Make sure you get the 23mm R32 front ARB for maximum benefit too.

I've also got 2 pairs of 15mm spacers, did think about spacing the rears out further than the front but did a lot of reading on this subject and read some convincing arguments to suggest that the rear has a narrower track than the front for a reason, basically to quicken turn-in so I opted for spacing both by the same amount to keep the balance right. Again, haven't fitted these yet, did try recently but only have the OEM jack and it didn't feel very stable for things like this.

Nice shopping list there tho :)

I just swapped mine round, Tom. 15mm now on the rear and 10mm are on the front. The weather is awful so no pics yet but tomorrow now has sun prediected so we will see :). The rears stick out slightly more than the front, the look I was after really.

Nice one mate. The 10mm front 15mm rear was my original plan so it's about seeing someone's in the flesh now and making my decision. Hopefully see it tomorrow.

UPDATE

The red silicone joiner turned up today, so I now have that and the heatshield waiting to go on.

Not happy to be working tomorrow as these could have been fitted before the meet, but never mind. Will have to be Sunday.

Thanks mate :)

Good shout, I'm thinking along those lines 23 front 25 rear. Read on one of Damian@DPM's posts that this is a good setup and they know their handling stuff at DPM so seems that could be the best route.

;) cheers, it does look 100 times better now it's dropped. Looks like a roadhugger? If I can call it that. It handles ALOT better at speed and there's alot less body roll. But I haven't even got the ARBs yet or my spacers. So it sure should feel good when she's done in those departments.

Lower it. Don't look back. I took the plunge but it looks like it should now. Not a fan of the OEM height on LCR's. Rear arch gap is huge imo!

I find mine just as practical as it was before tbh. It doesn't scrape on my drive and only scrapes on car park ramps etc if you go too quick onto them. A splitter is like £25 new anyway so if that needs replacing after 7 or 8 months it's no big deal, imo :)

Do it. AP's, Weitec's or KW's. All depends how far you want to go with the car. I will never track mine and AMD said the AP's don't feel much different to the Weitec's. So I went for those. Great for fast road use. No problems since fitting. Been good as gold.
