Unfortunately mate I'm struggling for time whilst jobs for the car build up, I'm back at college and too busy studying to keep my head above water :/

:( It'll be worth it long term mate, I've been knee deep in elec and gas exams with BG since the minute I started there but long term it has to be done.

If you're really struggling get the car trailered down to me and DK and we'll look after it ;)

My exams should all be done this week so my life can return to normal soon lol.

Yes mate usually people get there from half 8/9 onwards with roller action starting around 9 I think. When you get there if you want to get it on the rr, go in and pay to get your name down, they usually ask for the car details the spec etc... All marques that come can go on the rollers not just SEAT's, but the SEAT's get priority first, then when they're all done the other marques can go on.. So it's worth hanging around for as long as you can to see a good variation of cars stretch their legs!

Will be plenty of cars parked up we've had huge numbers before with a lot of long time members usually making the trip for the AMD meets so you can have a nosey around some of the best about. Always a good way to start the season imo..[B)]

Gave the car some seasonal prep today which has been overdue.

First off, used some APC on all the door seals and front grills to get rid of any green moss like residue.. And then it was time to clay. I washed the car first with megs gold class shampoo to get rid of any dirt, then used Bilt Hamber's 200g bar which worked a charm using megs ultimate qd and a mix of gold class again to keep the paint lubed up as I went along. Claying took a long time but it's worth the effort. Forgot to get pics of the used clay but it was a bit of a mess after with contaminates all over it.

I then finished by washing the car again with gold class and dried her off. She needs some SRP now and then some collinite layered on top to finish but she's getting back to her better days again now. More to come next Saturday if the weather holds out which it better do as the AMD rr day is on Sunday...

SCN AMD RR day prep...

So I only drove the car once after that claying it and it got filthy before it went back in the garage, so I got the car back out today for some more work ahead of the SCN AMD rolling road day tomorrow :D

Started off by giving her a bath using Autosmart duet shampoo which I've always really liked, I favour it slightly to the Megs Gold Class I use aswell because foams up less and seems to leave a waxy wet look finish.

Bath time

Once this was done I had a small mod to do before moving on to polishing, and that was to remove the old boot badges and replace them with the MK2 LCR 'R' badge which I would say now suits it way more with the theme of the car.

Out with the old

Residue left from old badges

Getting there, used a small cut off of bilt hamber clay bar and some megs ultimate quick detailer to get it ready for the new badge

And we are done :)

Next it was time to polish the car and I used the newer updated Autoglym super resin polish for this doing a panel at a time

Came up a treat

Once the car was done I moved onto giving it a durable coat of wax and for this I have gone for Collinite 476, bit tough to buff off but lasts longer and is a very good wax

Results:

Really pleased with the outcome, she's looking back to her best now. Didn't get time to detail the engine bay but it's not too bad so I'm taking some products to AMD tomorrow and will do it there... Looking forward to seeing lots of old timers tomorrow and new faces/cars I need to match up and have a chat to. See you tomorrow if you're coming :D

Had a good time at AMD Sunday, good to see my old timer friends and make some new ones. Good to see there is new people coming through still with really well done projects that did their first rolling road day out and had a good time. Here's to many more...

Didn't stick my car on the rollers - no point really as nothing has changed! I didn't take a single photo but some other people did and D.K and BigWill took some rolling shots on the way up and there's a pretty decent one of mine turn out in the end.

Looking forward to the next meet up..

Thanks mate :) I may have met you but not sure lol, lots of new faces which was good to see.

Haha sorry, far too many pages, needs trimming. I'm keeping it stage 2 for now... Might go bigger turbo at some point but won't be silly as it's going to remain FWD.

Show of Shows

So I went along to The Car Show Collective's Show of Shows in Tonbridge yesterday for a little day out.

Met up with DK and BigWill and we had an entertaining drive down there.. :D We then met Lee Malyon, Dan Deej and Adam Farrington. Was a decent enough show with the weather on our side.

I didn't take any pics but came across this one of mine online that Lowe Culture took.

That's all for now, Bromley Pageant is next up in a few weeks.
