A meet up sounds good in the coming months mate for sure, let me sort the new shoes first though :p

Na not the cambelt that's been done matey. Not due for a couple of years yet. I'll be getting the oil, oil filter, fuel filter, new NGK iridium plugs, TFSI coilpacks and a couple of other bits done at the service. Wheels soon after is probably how it's going to work as I really want her serviced now the plugs are over 2 years old.

Ha ha will do :)

Oh right when you said major i thought you meant the dreaded cambelt. But least it just plugs and that, should run a bit better afterwards. Heard good things about the TFSI packs also :D

Ever thought about servicing it yourself? It really isn't difficult. Hardest part is getting your hands up by the fuel filter to get that changed without getting petrol all over your face.... :censored:

Na don't have the facility to and my mates garage does it locally every year and I get the stamp in the book for the records. They always do a top job and treat it like my own. One of the only places I trust with my car. I helped him a couple of years back and I remember the fuel filter pissing out v power when we took the old one out, which was really corroded, lol.

It's going to the bodyshop up there at the same time for cosmetic bits so I'm just going to leave it there for a week and get it all done at convenience.

Replace facility with skills , you have a drive to work on and your only really need a socket set and a jack simples :)

It's those heavily moisturised keyboard hands he mean't by he doesn't have the facilities

Moisturiser would better than the steroids you take if I even used it

James I hope you actually drove your car this weekend mate ;)

Haha he even wears driving gloves so he doesn't chip a nail

Numpties. Don't have a bodyshop do I.. Clearly neither of you care about stamps in the book either which is fair do's but I don't want to change on getting them now.

p.s their gym gloves you tart :D

nah not quite, it can be addictive but probs isn't going to be very good for my exhaust system so don't do it very often.

True, I saw one on facebook blow the back box to bits with it but it looked good lol.

Maybe you'll blow your backbox apart at AmD on Sunday

So I had my first proper drive/hack tonight since I've been tinkering under the bay and I cannot get over how much faster this car is getting... I wanted to see how the boost was holding, so did some 3rd and 4th gear WOT runs and the two shims in the 008 seem to have improved it again, it just holds and holds and pulls so hard. Feels absolutely rapid :D

Put it down hard in 2nd gear a few times as well it's just so aggressive now compared to before where it was a bit more progressive than this, can't beat the smell of rubber when you come to a stand still after!

Should have some more rear light tint turning up tomorrow maybe Thursday the seller has said, so things are looking good with more in the pipeline to come :)

Good to see you're enjoying it and its all working well

Cheers mate. Mad to think how the car started when I test drove it over 3 years ago being completely standard and how it is now, lol.

Good to have some dry roads to really hammer it down and grip too :D I could get through tyres very quickly this summer.. Might have to get a new set with the new wheels :p
