SW: 0368 is the latest official version you can go to, but the retrofitters can take you a lot further but would need your unit sending to them.

Patch the Unit , modify the Update and then installed.
It can done all remote.
Remote activation of Carplay and Android Auto too
For activation you need nothing more as a SD Card.
For Update to Higher Version you need VCP or Odis.
Wondering If anyone could help, I just upgraded from MIB1 to MIB2. Bought the unit and screen together and everything works fine other than the sound. When I use android carplay the audio is reduced by 50% and there is no bass. It sounds really tinny. The Bluetooth works fine and loud with bass but the bass still isn't as good as the MIB1 system. Does anyone know or heard anything about this before?

It's not that bad. Ateca dash middle speaker is a base speaker getting on for a sub woofer with the sub woofer in the boot. Unlike surround sound they plonked quite a bit of base where you would find the voice speaker. You got all the rest of the speakers but that sub woofer tending upfront is kind of fun. People on the other Ateca board run by different people use to want to petty squabble about that even thou they didn't option in the Seat Sound system . The spec was in the SSP, not sure of the Leon 3s set up. Suppose to be tested and tuned up by some research unit at the time.

How works the update? I read somewhere some update it takes 60m and need to charge the battery while update is doing..
If you look under guides on their site. Like map updates on the high unit you need to keep the power onto it. You could / would run the engine or if you know your battery is up to it just open the car door every 15 minutes, that keeps the unit live. Repeat as required but you might consider running the engine either way like map updates via the SWDL command you dont drop power.
Some on here have done updates that way. I think they are only software packs that a dealer would use but don't. The main thing is not to drop power whilst the process is running. You can only do certain upgrade paths as you read on the thread. Wrong path and you mess things up.
