Not worth it, turbo's are much better than superchargers.

Define better? supercharger has no lag, smoother delivery of power, and has that fantastic whine when going for it. The only advantage I can see of a turbo is that it doesn't use as much power to turn the turbine, because it uses exhaust gasses. But instead you get lag.

The guy that owns storm had a mk2 golf and supercharged it to 450bhp. it had so much power that it twisted the chassis and wrote his car off.

I'd been considering chatting to them about this for the Cordoba at a later stage, but now I'll stay away I think. That sort of bull:censored: might impress some people but to me it just says find another tuner...

I suppose at least now they know the threshold they can push it to, just a shame its so expensive, if you could get a kit for 3k loads of people would do it.

IIRC his car was the reason for starting the business, so he could fund tuning it up.

I think they are pretty clued up there, he did say he just wanted to see how much power he could get from his car.

Storm do some good work, Miles & co know there stuff, had a few features in mags, but they are more s/c specialists, not saying that they don't know there turbos!

I was shocked when they took the turbo OFF there 2.0T Ralleye and whacked a charger on instead!! Think that one was featured in a Golf mag not long ago.

Bits of there work:

Maybe so, but telling people crap that your 450bhp engine twisted the chassis on your car is just laughable. We're not living in Vin-diesel land...

I do recall similar comments when we were discussing IHI's into ibiza's running 320bhp many moons ago. Bending roofs, twisting chassis cos of all the power....

Well, some years on and a few hundre horsepower more I can report the ibiza remains straight and twist free. :)
