now you have connected those RCA converters on to the output of the HU...

lets focus on the speaker wire you just cut!!!
you next have to blank off the rear speaker cables (trust me on this please), wrap a bit of tape around them to keep then neat. and make sure they cant short.

next thing you need to do it get your good quality speaker cable and connect it to the front speaker cables. this will enable you to use the stock wiring on the front speakers :). if you dont want to do this then do as i did and run the speaker cables to the speakers then back to the amp in the boot.

right next you have to wire your good quality RCA cables down the drivers side of the car.. i found that wiring the cables under the fuse box, then under the plastic plate that holds the bonnet catch, under the carpet and along the sill. (also wire 2 x decent speaker cable along with the RCA cables)

then down the side of the car

in to the boot area arounf here

then then feed under the carpet and come out here :

this is the link between where the rear bench sits and the boot

from this i decided to install the 2nd AMP behind my sub on to the rear of the seat using velcro. i wired the rca cablesup the little ridges in the seat behind the amp to hide them away.

Wire up the speakers cables you ran from the front of the car with the RCA's to the output on the amp (front speaker outputs).

if you use the rear speakers, then get sopme speaker cable dircetly from the amp, wire this under the boot cover then up either side of the boot to the speakers. i dont have pictures of this as i ripped that part of my install out.

No grommet

I've been trying to find one, but cannot find anything other than where the wires for the rest of the cars electronics are run through... This might be in relations to me not realizing your Ibiza is a Mk3 and mine is Mk2 (sorry about that) - as far as I can see, there is no other way through the wall...

Sorry for the doing my research first, was just a little bit over-eager.... If you (for some reason) happen to know or catch anything on the Mk2, I would very much like to hear from you!!!

Thanks,

Thanks

Okay, thanks for the reply.. If I cannot "piggy back" ( :D ) the cable with the others, I guess I'll just have to drill a new hole - although I'd prefer not to!!!

Thanks for the help,

ave got a mk2 1.4 8v. there is a big gromet below and behind the water collint tank, on the left if ur facing in to the engine. i ran 3 lines of 4 gauge no problem thourgh the gromet. if ur car has abs then its a little harder as its closs to the gromet.

only possible if the car has no air-con as this is the hole the air-con pips run through.

Can I put this in my sig so it (might) get a bit more publicity? It's a great guide and thread. Many thanks Adam. 1 little q with regards to the CD changer, I found one that will take MP3 cd's... Dya think it'd work in the mk3 ibiza?

yes please put it in your sig so people can see it as it is a helpfull thread and it is 'over looked'.

if you could say its mine though :p

CD changer is no problem...

mine is an apline cd / mp3 6 cd changer. it can take up to 300 mp3's per CD and 6 CD's so.......
thats alot of music :D, just get a 'connect to' or other specialised box.

its a shame they dont f.a.q it! theres loads of common question that people keep asking because theyd have to sift through 50 pages of info to get to it.
