Storing head restraints

For months I had been trying to find somewhere to store the head restraints when the back seats were folded down. They normally ended up under the front seats where they would roll about under cornering. Then I discovered the holes in the back edge of the seat bases which are there to accept the legs of the restraints when the seats are folded and keep everything tidy. Is there anybody else who hadn't realized this or am I just thick?:)

On the back edge of the seat base, where you get hold of it to pull it forward, there are pairs of holes spaced the same as the legs of the head restraints. At least there is on my 2004 model.

I was a bit dissapointed that they are just cut in, my last polo had the same setup but with plastic trims round the holes (but it had factory leather).
