Stiff drivers/passengers seats to slide forwards/backwards

Hi all,

The front drivers and passengers Seat on my Ibiza Cupra are very stiff (impossible to slide when driving!) to slide forwards and backwards, when trying to adjust the seat postioning. Any ideas why? Solutions?

I've tried giving them a good clean, lubricating the runners on either side and the springs within the little piston housing which pulls the lever back down. But it is still near impossible to slide.

Also, when allowing people into the back of the car, so lifting up the lever to allow the front seats to tilt forwards, the both drivers and passengers seat do not slide forwards, is this normal?

Some greece on the runners and on the front guide (where lever is) should sort it mate. I had this a while ago and it sorted it for me

Oh an not wd40 i mean proper multi purpose greece

I ended up unbolting the seats off the runners, lifting them up and giving the runners a good clean and lube.

They slide perfectly now.

Be careful not to unplug the airbag sensors...the big yellow plug sockets.
