BTW; you shouldn't need to cut any wires... If you buy the AL 3103 complete, it comes with nice and tidy conversion wire adapters.

If not, it can't be rocket science to decide... :)

I need to change mine as they are awful, my car is a 2012 FR so the last of the older shape. Why do you need to cut the lip off? Are there adaptors you can get without the need to do this??

Just seems bit of a potch :)

Just wondering, why are people disconnecting the rear speakers when you can just mute/fade them out from the head unit's sound settings?

That way you can even leave the rear's playing at a real low volume compared to the front's if you wanted to keep them playing without distortion

damn, this is what I needed, and I found it.. gotta buy some good speakers and change that screen pioneer or something good guide!
