need some advice on bleeding the brakes on the missus' corsa C, changed the dics and pads earlier (pads were non existant, discs were scored to f.cuk) and slackened off the bleed nipple to allow me to push the piston back, get the feeling i should of connected up some tubing to the bleed nipple though and left it submerged in some fresh brake fluid to prevent air entering the system, which i didnt, and now the brakes work fine but theres alot of travel in the pedal before they start working

can someone talk me through the bleeding process, can i bleed just the fronts? I get the feeling i need to get my mate to sit in the car and force the brake pedal all the way down whilst i slacken the bleed nipple until fresh fluid comes out then tighten it back up....that right? any order i should do them in?

u need two people to do it properly,

this is how iv done it in the past,

open the brake fluid res, under the engine bay

loosen the bleed nipple
pump the pedel travelling all the way to the floor in one motion
whilst u poor fresh fluid in the res, ( put a pot under the caliper as it will go everywhere!
you might have to do it a couple of times to get the right fluid level, but ul know when theres no air etc becuase the fluid will come out in a continuous motion not spitting

if your by your self you can buy kits called eyzy bleed kits basically a seringine with a connection so you drag the fluid out instead of having the pedel pumped

that should get u started!

Dubsport in llantrisant is the only specialist i'm aware of in the south wales area at the mo.

Right back to proper cars, and not girly school run corsa's,

8 inch wheels, will the fit the cupra, without to much problem?
The other thing, they may be 18's.
